Anyway he said that only chlorophyll can harness the suns energy and use it (Out of anything that is natural and not man made) Makes sense. Hence we see intelligent design. Hence we have more proof that God created plants trees etc , and the sun to grow them using thermodynamics, and the whole universe.

But anyway, it´s very troubling to see someone like Hovind, who claims to be serious and educated, lying flat out about these things. He is trying to manipulate people into sharing his world view with the method of cold-blooded deceit. No matter what you think about evolution, that is NOT OK.

For one thing the universe is not a closed system, it´s expanding...even if it were a closed system, he "forgot" to mention sub-systems in closed systems (earth in universe). And of course, evolution is chemistry, in chemistry 2nd law does NOT dictate decrease of ordered structure. 2nd law actually energetically favors the formation of known complex chemical compounds from their simpler elements.
