  • I find this hard to watch. My female Greyhound is an ex-racer and was reitred off due to an injury received in just such a crash as these. Thankfully she was one of the lucky ones and was treated for a broken rib and a torn muscle and now spends her days sleeping on my sofa. But their are thousands who are not treated and just killed as though they were just broken things and not sentient beings. It breaks my heart.

  • I detest gambling and the use of animals in this form. They are taught to chase a rabbit through torture to a rabbit first and then they race for humans entertainment. There is nothing about this that is right. I live across the road from a dog racing track and i hate the place. I hate that i spent part of my childhood there at the same track with a father that used all our money there. We did not eat 5 times a day....impacts on both humans and the dogs :0(

  • All of these crashes hurt me deeply in my soul... I look at my fragile, long-boned, delicate angel and it hurts me to the core to think of a similar incident... so very common in the racing industry. This can't be allowed to continue!

  • Come on We really need to do something nice for these lovely greyhounds........Please.

  • The greyhound racing industry is directly responsible for horrific injuries, often fatal, and for the deaths of thousands of beautiful dogs every year. So the fewer tracks there are, the better.

I hope Walthamstow will close and that other tracks won't be too far behind.
