  • Been there and had a few dubs cut back in '02. Big up Oscar..

  • Hey, dude! Could you make me a record? Not a dubplate, because I can't play dubplates on my record player. Make sure the record has what songs are listed:

    Imogen Heap, First Train Home

Paramore, Live: Here we go again from: The Final Riot CD

    Sims 2 theme

Ministry Of Magic, Escape From Azkaban

    FRED, The Babysitter's a vampire

So make it a 12 inch 331/3 RPM, make it good sound quality. Thanks.

    Wigglehead2050

  • @Wigglehead2050 you must be joking? hahahahahhaa

  • @Wigglehead2050 seriously?

  • @Wigglehead2050 LoL

Hey buddy, you might want to have a look at this: synthgear . com / 2010/diy/how-to-pirate-a-vinyl-record

  • Big up to everyone who still cut dubs!! It's sad to see, but digital is killing dubplates :(

  • oh god i love this video

  • looking at grooves part at the end was nice

  • the bass in insane!!

  • Big respects and shouts to Oscar da grouch old school belmont origanlizm word mang long beach repin big BRUTOS !

  • Cool vid man, always wanted to see how cutting dubs worked. Thanks.

    Wicked choon too.

  • Quality dubs from Turnstyle...def recommend them!

  • One of the best videos on the tube

  • Biggup Turnstyle!!! I recommend getting your ish cut there! Go for the 12" dubs.

  • also the spacing has to be wide as bass has a longer wavelenth than treble or midrange hence more space needed for that end.

  • I want one

  • Can somebody please explain exactly what's going on? What's the tube do? What is a dubplate?

  • A dubplate is a record that the DJ or owner of this record does not sell but makes to paly at raves, parties, etc, etc.

The tubes are going threw the neddle that is on the record, putting the music into the record.

And this music is called DUBSTEP<3333

  • Actually dubplates are meant to be coated with silver spray, then electro ionised in a copper bath and there you got a master for pressing real vinyl records.

But DJ's took the dubplates directly so they can play a tune the same night they finished a track.

(only disadvantage is that they are soft and wear out after just a few plays.)

  • @inofaith more like 30-50 plays, frm the little experience i ahd with a few of them

  • @TrowbridgeHardcore well thats what I mean with "a few".

Mala still uses the same plates after years and years of play. They get crackly and the high end fades... but still ok.

  • @inofaith Depends on the needle you use though. Ortofons tend to wear out dubs quicker but Shures tend to be kinder to your dubs.

  • @inofaith lacquers and acetates: two different things. Acetates are dubs, and lacquers for masters and subsequent plating for stampers.

  • maybe the tube sucks a vacuum onderneath the dubplate to keep it in place (rotating exactly as fast as the platter does)

  • Does Anybody Know Where I Can Find This Track!!!! I been on da hunt for like 4 months now please help

  • 6blocc vs. bassnectar - revolution, that's what it says in the video lol

  • 1.44 <3 <3 <3

  • what in the world does this thing do?

  • does the piece that etches the record need to be replaced regularly?

  • The stylus starts to get noisy after so many cuts. So yes it needs to replaced every 50-80 cuts (this number varies).

  • and it cuts in realtime? what kind of monitors do you use? :)

  • we have Genelec s30's

  • BIG

  • I want it!!!

  • Where did the swarf go?

  • It get sucked through a pipe behind the stylus.

  • that's: 'Art of revolution' BASSNECTAR

  • really nice song!

  • i love the smell of acetate in the morning.....
