@thegreatkurt2013 Who ever is willing to pick up the rifle, it shouldn't matter the type it is, provided they are there for the cause and stay the course like everyone else is all that matters. That would be the second hardest part, once you get folks willing to stand and fight (ie-picking up the rifle), than you have to ensure these men and women can stay the course and keep up the right, having good leaders is where this comes into play. What is sketchy about the fact that a foreign treaty agreement by the US cannot be arbitrary to US Constitutional law which would involve an agreement with the majority of states? Sure the US govt. can place troops anywhere and place them anywhere under any other military command, suprised-not much. For example, the UN in it's small arms treaty cannot impose or enforce any measure that is arbitrary to the 2nd ammendment freedoms of law abiding US citizens within US borders.

You AK guys are lucky if you can hit something at 200 yards. The BCM AR has gone 30000 rounds being cleaned only twice and its still still shooting. If you think your AK can never jAM, you bettter search AK jams on here. The AR is superior in just about every way. If youre bound and determined to go bury your rifle in the backyard for a couple of years get an AK.
The Ak47 however has less options as far as optics, flashlights and that sort of thing but also just my opinion, If I were going into battle tomorrow I wouldn't be worrying about aiming carefully at hostile targets with my 600 hundred dollar eotech red dot sight and finding things in the dark with my barrrel flashlight, I would want a reliable weapon that doesent require tedious maintenance that doesent jam and has a powerful round, the AK47 is my choice.. Others will disagree though..
AR15?? I wouldn't select it for my firing platform, I prefer the AK47, in my opinion its design is more rugged and dependable than the AR15, I happen to favor the round better too.. I have read the stories about the M16 or AR15 as its called, and the AK47 comes out on top each time.. Ak47's have been found in crates with rust all over them and still operate, they do not require all of the cleaning an AR15 does, the ammunition is cheaper also, I knows this because I own one myself..

I am not sure with AimPoint, they make many, but I do have a micro H-1, love it, that is a red dot, it's on one of my other AR's and it was well worth the coin I laid out.

What I can say is The AirBorn and SF's I know from my service days would rather be armed with an HK416 first and then an M16, don't know of any who would want a semi auto "AR15". The HK416 is considerd the best assualt rifle in the world, uses a gas piston that is very reliable and close to the AK but the controls are close to the M16. To bad the public can't buy one.

@FringeAnonymous semi saves you alot of money. if you fire full auto it makes your barrel wear down quicker, makes your gas rings wear down faster, puts extra stress on all the parts on the gun, and plus ammo is expensive. so for every magazine its 6-10$. do you want to pay 10$ for 3 seconds of fun?

@croationz Thanks, I saw a hi-point 9mm carbine for $299, and a keltec su16 recently for $399 and I'm trying to decide what my best options are. I've also seen some .22lr models in that price range. You can buy 3 AKs for the price of one AR.

@thegreatkurt2013 Who ever is willing to pick up the rifle, it shouldn't matter the type it is, provided they are there for the cause and stay the course like everyone else is all that matters. That would be the second hardest part, once you get folks willing to stand and fight (ie-picking up the rifle), than you have to ensure these men and women can stay the course and keep up the right, having good leaders is where this comes into play. For now we'll just hold steady if the day ever comes!

What is sketchy about the fact that a foreign treaty agreement by the US cannot be arbitrary to US Constitutional law which would involve an agreement with the majority of states? Sure the US govt. can place troops anywhere and place them anywhere under any other military command, suprised-not much. For example, the UN in it's small arms treaty cannot impose or enforce any measure that is arbitrary to the 2nd ammendment freedoms of law abiding US citizens within US borders.

You AK guys are lucky if you can hit something at 200 yards. The BCM AR has gone 30000 rounds being cleaned only twice and its still still shooting. If you think your AK can never jAM, you bettter search AK jams on here. The AR is superior in just about every way. If youre bound and determined to go bury your rifle in the backyard for a couple of years get an AK.

The Ak47 however has less options as far as optics, flashlights and that sort of thing but also just my opinion, If I were going into battle tomorrow I wouldn't be worrying about aiming carefully at hostile targets with my 600 hundred dollar eotech red dot sight and finding things in the dark with my barrrel flashlight, I would want a reliable weapon that doesent require tedious maintenance that doesent jam and has a powerful round, the AK47 is my choice.. Others will disagree though..

AR15?? I wouldn't select it for my firing platform, I prefer the AK47, in my opinion its design is more rugged and dependable than the AR15, I happen to favor the round better too.. I have read the stories about the M16 or AR15 as its called, and the AK47 comes out on top each time.. Ak47's have been found in crates with rust all over them and still operate, they do not require all of the cleaning an AR15 does, the ammunition is cheaper also, I knows this because I own one myself..

i have 2 ar15 type rifles one from bravo company with a 18in barrel for long range and i just started upgrading my new s&w m&p15 piston. i dont know what kind of red dot i want tho. im torn between eotech or aimpoint. my other ar15 already has a vortex scope on it. people please give me some advice to help me better decide on one so i can be squared away to defend my family and neighborhood from thousands russian paratroopers and zombies lol

@BoneCollector503 I have a ACOG on my M4 clone, but EOTech is nice because you can keep both eyes open and you have that ability to shoot what's in front of you. I am not sure with AimPoint, they make many, but I do have a micro H-1, love it, that is a red dot, it's on one of my other AR's and it was well worth the coin I laid out.

Nice guns.....To me a gun is a god.....You have the power to take someone's life,or not....And that person you aim the gun at knows this.So that person will beg and scream do not kill me...Please forgive.....Makes me wonder if there was a god{which i dont think so}and we die then we face god and say please forgive me,dont send me to hell.Well that's why i call a gun.......God..................

my AR 15 is a colt mil spec . i fell in love with it in the army. great weapon as long as you take good care of it. how ever i will be the first to say that the AK 47 is with out a question one of the greatest weapons ever made. battle tested and combat proven.

@Crimble67 that is why i got the AR15 and not the AK. but the thing that makes the AK such a great weapon is the fact that you can roll in the dirt and it will still keep firing if you roll an AR in the dirt it will jam up.

@YINGLUNG007 the ar is like a 1911, a million people make them, some are help in high reguardes, like les baer , they make custom 1911's and ar's...and have a .5 MOA...bottomline, the custom worked AR's will always be better than assembley line ar's in the cheaper category....also there is no "best" AR , just ones of high quality

@400underground Wee since I was Army and not Marines I can't comment on what "lots" of Marines prefer. What I can say is The AirBorn and SF's I know from my service days would rather be armed with an HK416 first and then an M16, don't know of any who would want a semi auto "AR15". The HK416 is considerd the best assualt rifle in the world, uses a gas piston that is very reliable and close to the AK but the controls are close to the M16. To bad the public can't buy one.

Seriously, I might need to shoot a video using this PokerFace song. I can see it now....using footage of horse-mounted guerrillas interspersed with protest footage, Big Brother surveillance cameras, and Alex Jones. It's a recipe for success! (Or quite possibly the fastest way to get on the infamous "No-Fly, No-Gun Buy, and now No-Job" list).
