Love ANYTHING Charly does!! She has an AWESOME voice, one of the best! 1960's-early 1990's best Country Music era ever!! I would never listen to Mickey's other version with the other girl, 'cause to me, this IS the only version!! Love ya, Charly!!!! :)
Love it. weve got a local classic country radio station. as well as few on the net. but ive got youtube and your channel when i cannot find anything :) thank you
The legends are the only ones who can make music like this SOUND this great! Eat your hearts out Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. Sorry, but Mikey, Charly, Loretta, Dolly, George, Willie, Hank, and Lefty sung much more meaningful songs than these singers today.
i remember when my dad got mickey giley's cd nd i was like "umm y did u get that?!" then he played it then changed it 2 this song then i started dancing in the front seat nd was gettin down lol nd ever sice i really like it thank u dad! lmfao :D by the way im only 11 which most 11 yr. olds r like eewww shut the fuck up cause u kids must not know wat true music is lmfao :) <333 LOVE IT!! :)))
What has happened to country music, after watching the 2010 CMA's I thank all the people who post video's like this and thank WSM 650am for still playing this kind of music on the air.
This song is the epitome of flash over substance.....Kinda the dark ages of country music when everybody wanted to be a "crossover" artist. Thank God people like George Strait, Randy Travis and Alan Jackson came along to pull country music out of the dark ages. Sadly, however we don't learn from our mistakes and people like Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and others are leading us back into the pit.
I wish country music still sounded like this.....it seems like the country music of today just dosen't have the substance and meaning that it did in the past decades.
Thank you for helping preserve these classis gold songs from great artists. Gosh I remember seeing Charly for the first time I was 14 and i fell in love on sight. You know I am 42 know I like her music now just as much or more and my old heart still skips a beat or two when I see her and hear that smokey voice. Love, love it.
she has a lil bit of dolly parton's voice lol when my dad bought this cd i was like this SUCKS! but when this song came on it was prettty catchy so i just fell in love with this song lol I LOVVEEE IITTT IITTT SOOO GOOD!!! LOL AND THAT IS SOMETHING A 10 YEARS OLD WOULD NEVER SAY!
Channel Policy: We have a Zero tolerance for comments that include profanity, derogatory remarks made toward another viewer, an artist, any song or video. We have a channel hound trained to sniff out offensive language including profanity, racial slurs and other comments deemed offensive in nature. Anyone who chooses to ignore our channel policy will be nuked (blocked) from our channel. Just don’t do it!
@flashbell I appreciate that, too. I wonder, though, why I see nudity in certain videos, sometimes Quite graphic, and I've reported these to you- but there is one really nasty video which is still out there for all to see, including kids. I wish you would be more vigilant about these things, too, along with the profanity and everything else. Thanks :)
@flashbell Oops I apologize... my last response waS wrong. I thought you were talking about youtube in general. I am sorry I goofed! I SO wish they would be more vigilant, though, as you are. Take care.
@flashbell That's a little over the top buddy, this music is peaceful. Mickey Gilley is not controversial like Jesse Jackson or David Duke, he's simply a ladies' man and master performer.
@flashbell Stalin had policies as well. So did Hitler... Not trying to rude but some people might take you as being a control freak... Regardless though... I like the videos you post... Thanks.
@flashbell That is absolutly wonderful, more channels should have policies like yours. I feel much more secure knowing that there is still some common sense on the internet. Kudos flashbell, great work! Thanks.
i agree with you flashbell. there are so few REAL country songs out today. most are pop song sung by people that have no idea what REAL COUNTRY is supposed to sound like.
During the parts where Mickey & Charly sang together, you could've shown the both of them at the same time. But I do love this song; I grew up hearing it on the radio.

I am a die-hard country music fan, but I must admit...this is the cheesiest of all the 80s "bubble gum country" songs. Love it or hate it, nothing screams "80s" like the synthesizer and electric drums!
I totally agree with you. Country isnt really country anymore. Love this song. Grew up on country and this is the way country was and still should be.
@suanconn I work for a big record company in Nashville and will report you for stating the truth about modern country music. Please pretend that you like modern country for the sake of the record companies, radio stations and new artists so they can make money even if their music sucks.
I haven't heard this song in years. I got a tape with this song on it when I bought a new Mustang in 1986. Ford gave them out with the new cars. Thanks for posting it.
Yikes, you're glorifying one night stands? Yes the wording of the song COULD mean that, but sheesh it doesn't have to. There's nothing good or "paradise" about a one night stand. I imagine my wife and I on our wedding night when I hear this song. If you want to imagine one night stands and imagine that at some magical time they were somehow "safer" then fine. They were never safe.
I remember listening to this song all the time when I was little. It was like, my favorite song. Of course, now that I understand the meaning of what they're saying...it's still one of my faves. Thanks for the upload. Catch ya on the flip side.
i have loved it since it came out and been hoping that someone would finally post it, i wore out my old 45's of it so bad they skipped all the time, finally had to get rid of them
