I an honored to say that John Hughey, Conway's pedal steel player,the greatest steel man ever, was a personal friend for many years. Not only was he a great steel player, he was one of the finest men I've known and one of the best friends I ever had. His passing hit me hard but I still have some great and fond memories of he and Jean. He was with Conway for 23 years, and still would be if they were both still alive and touring. Conway loved him like a brother; and so did I.
