  • This car has keyless entry but no push to start. Push to start is lame anyway. WE ARE AMERICANS ..we like keys. We actually coined the term "turnkey" ,lol ..europeans.

  • THE NEW STANDARD OF THE WORLD ...GET IT RIGHT !!

  • @MrRenier24 yea the GTR is faster, hell its the fastest car in the world under $100,000 but it doesnt fit in the same category as the cst-v, its like racing a coupe vs a big hevy ass truck....Its not a fare fight

  • is the nissan GTR faster than this cadillac ?

  • i love bmw's, but i would get a cts-v any day. m5 and the e63 better bow down.

  • I was so high when i first seen this, shit blew my mind lol

  • BMW & Mercedes are getting scared. . .

We came to there turf and brought it !

  • @nashville1510 HELL YES SON

  • funny. cuz, for one, the cts-v would destroy the m5 on the track that it is known for. secondly, the cts-v is 30K less than the e63 and the m5. thirdly, its american and lastly, AMERICA ROCKS.

  • fuck off ,Cadillac's rule

  • Top Gear BBC couldnt even hate on this car...

  • @MrSkankaDank Yea and they didn't want to admit an American car fucks all of Europe's cars. So much so they barely ever mention it.

  • Just like you think

  • 6 Germans saw this

  • Your gonna be a fiend on the street crying soon

  • Love all the americans on here who bash US cars and praise Euro cars they could never afford

  • @socalpimp1974 Or bash American tincans and praise European cars we actually own.

  • ha, take that Germany

  • just wait Cadillac just wait...muh ha ha ha ha, BMW is coming to whip your American ass off Nürburgring permenently!!!!!!!! f10 m5!!!!!!!

  • I am European and love this car, I prefer it over the M5 because this engine sounds way better than the F10 M5's v8 tt and love its styling.

  • 2011 Subaru STI did it in 7:55 and it's half the price of the cts-v. It's still a badass car

  • Keep arguing people! Yes! If it makes you feel better!

  • Test drove the 2011 CTS Performance (not a V) and I couldn't believe what crap the car was, pushing 50 thousand with Navi, what a joke. Don't know much about the V, I've heard good things about it but Caddy pushes these things in their commercials and they are what like 60-70 grand. The Escalade is garbage as well compared to it's competitors. So they show commercials of the V to impress people then put them in their other crap vehicles...I guess they're crafty if anything.

  • @Jolt1080 just becuase you wasn't thrilled abt it doesn't mean nothing. I've driven the car and i loved it!

  • @2008C6Vette

Test drive the Infiniti G37 Sedan and let me know how different the ride and exceleration is compared to the CTS. And for 6 grand less, people who buy the CTS are dumb dumb dumb and it's for old people who know nothing about performance. Why do you think they push the V so hard, they know their base model is garbage but people don't know the difference.

  • @Jolt1080 No, we love the Cadillac car, maybe your just not an American person, I don't care for Infiniti, their rides aren't really smooth. The CTS is a awesome car for young & old.

  • @2008C6Vette

"American person", I'm guessing you mean domestic person. No, typically I like Euro's and Imports...though Domestics have come a long way they are still inferior. A G37 is far better in value and performance compared to the CTS. You haven't test drove 2011's so you don't know. Every review you read the G37 says it has sharp handling. And the CTS isn't for the young it's an old person's car who are willing to spend $10 grand more then what it's worth.

  • @Jolt1080 I drove a 2010 Infiniti G37 & wasn't impressed, rides cheap, just because you don't like the CTS, don't go around posting comments abt the car like it's crap, I would take an CTS over a G37 anyway. I'm sure alot of people would too. & it's not an old person car. More like for 30+. too much power for old ppl =D

  • @2008C6Vette

Wait, your telling me not to post...who the hell are you stroke bag haha. That's un-American. You can have your overpriced old man's car, my car turns head. I did mods you can't do with a CTS. I get compliments every day, cuz Infiniti doesn't have to do much advertising the product speaks for itself. Hence, the price of their vehicles are lower. Caddy pushes their crap to the mainstream and they have to recoup those cost by overcharging it's consumers, aren't they nice.

  • @Jolt1080 Your telling me this because? I don't even own a Caddy. Btw, Caddy sold more than Infiniti. Lmao!

  • @2008C6Vette

I'm sure Caddy's do sell more wow how old are you. Doesn't mean your getting good value. Just cuz mainstream media vouches for a caddy and suggest it's a good car, in which I said it is if you re-read my post idiot. I've been saying the value of them is to high. A CTS is not a 50 grand car and whoever pays that much for it is retarded. It would be a solid car at 35-40 grand, that would be fair market for it.

  • @Jolt1080 Not my problem, talk to Cadillac abt thier prices. If you have the money for the Caddy, buy it. Its an awesome car. I would rather the Caddy then a Infiniti.

  • @2008C6Vette

I'll agree to disagree. Like you say Caddy's are such a huge seller, meaning they are a dime a dozen. I put black matte 20's, lowering springs, CAI, diffuser, 4 inch exhaust tips, smoked tail lights/head lights on my ride, it looks sick. Take your old foggy 50K car, I'll pull up next to it and laugh. CTS is a bit more luxerious as they say, I even disagree on that. The G37 S is hell off alot more sportier, and it's 6 grand less : )

  • @Jolt1080 Idc what you can do to the car. I like the Caddy because i believe it's worth buying.A four door car that can travel that fast & still be a luxury car, is my type. Not something that is expensive & rides cheap. & is another car Caddy makes that looks similar to the CTS but it's longer, that is an old people car but the CTS is not.

  • I just heard this commercial stating that ctsv

Is the fastest luxury sedan in the would?

Maybe in the (United States). Haha

  • GTFO!!!!!!!!! I could name 3 sedans that are faster!!!

  • Motor trend tested 0-60 in 4.1 seconds on the coupe shouldn't this be slower because its a sedan....i think that 3.9 is wrong.

  • @PhatsoJuggalo806 No, Both will do 4.1sec 0-60's, I think the 3.9 is only possible under absolutely pristine conditions with a low gas tank.

  • @DroidNoid New Cadillac's have 50,000 mile B-to-B warranty plus 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, which would cover a head gasket.

  • the best Cadillac Cts-V!!! Beautiful car ever!!

  • theres nothing wrong with our phat asses either!

  • i like how they mention the price lmao

  • @mrdeathclutch where was that?

  • @phillybob233 lol they never did smartone. it was sarcasm. cause there like its the fastest production seden but they never mention the price which is like atleast 80k

  • @mrdeathclutch actually, smartone, the base price is 63,000, and only gets up to about 69k or 70k with the racing seat and wood packages. If you want a cadillac cts-v that drives like the one in the video, it's only 63,000.

  • Until they make this in a convertible I have absolutely no interest.

  • Sorry Cadillac, but Subaru beat you. STI 7:55

  • @ibro314 Nope! that time doesn't stand the subie in questions was not production item it was enhanced with aero parts not found in the actual production car.

  • @ibro314 STI.....junk w/ AWD , hell, it's not even American, STI doesn't even go that fast as an overall car.

  • I test drove one of these and hit 130 down my back street and about shit myself , I praise cadillac

  • @meankookoo It isn't in production so it doesn't matter. Also, is it just me or does Bugatti make some ugly cars?

  • hey gran turismo track lol

  • i got a better time on gran turismo!

jk but this is a pretty cool add.

  • @DroidNoid You don´t own a GM car. Stop lying you pussy.

  • finally a car that old white folks can drive so they be faster on the road and not slow everyone down THANK YOU GM

  • this freaking sedan is slow freaking cheap american cars!!!!

    All about import ahaha!!!!

gotta love the ricer cars it owns these cheap ass plastic cars

  • 2010 subi wrx sti did this in 7:55. dosnt that make it a faster sedan?

  • The European cars suck.

Cadillac, is the new standard of the world.

  • @NakedSnakeBlGBOSS Not really actually.

  • @Daniel7681

    How dare you

  • @NakedSnakeBlGBOSS Lol :P you gotta admit European cars are amazing quality.

  • @Daniel7681

    Not really actually.

  • @NakedSnakeBlGBOSS It's a Cadillac, nothing special about it. American cars lack when it comes to design and quality. Fastest sedan? So they found a loophole, sedans are not supposed to be fast, buy a sports car for that. It's an ugly car.

  • @Daniel7681

I'm not sure if you really can talk about quality when defending the European cars. Mercedes-Benz was rated the most unreliable car brand in 2006, and even in 2010, their best was only just "Average". But, I am just saying their quality and reliability lack heavily compared to the Japanese cars. Compared to the American cars? The American cars are still a lot more reliable.

But yes, the parts are kinda cheap still. And sedans are not supposed to be fast? Well? Panamera Turbo?

  • @NakedSnakeBlGBOSS QUALITY, as stated by you, not reliability. Don't bring reliability into quality of cars. MB is rated one of the highest in Initial Quality by JD power and associates for 2010. Sure, reliability may not be one of MB's strongest points, but trust me, the Japanese cars have many more weak points then that. Porsche is entirely different, apples to oranges, you want to pay 100k more, sure then have you can have a fast sedan.

  • @Daniel7681

The Japanese cars' only problem is that they do not have the brand power as much as the European brands do. Other than that, there is nothing else the Japanese cars lack compared to the European cars. My family only bought the Japanese cars, so your opinion is not credible at all.

Subaru AWD system is one of the best, but in order to find a good AWD in Euro cars, you need to pay extra 30~100k more for like Porsche and Audi.

  • @Daniel7681

And there is not a single good European offroader that can be compared to Toyota Land Cruiser. Maybe the only one that has a chance against it is Land Rover, but well? Who drives Land Cruisers? Saudi Royal families who go to desert, the U.N. members when they have to drive around third world countries, and W.H.O. members. Land Rover? Kim Kardashian and a lot of women who will never go offroad in their entire life.

And Nissan GT-R performs better than Audi R8 and is cheaper.

  • @Daniel7681

And Lexus LS is the second best selling luxury car in the entire world, after Mercedes-Benz S class. And Lexus as a brand, is the best selling luxury car brand in the United States.

But then again, it still remains to be true that the Japanese cars' brand power is overall a lot weaker than the European brands. It doesn't matter if Nissan GT-R is a lot faster than Aston Martin, R8, or even Porsche 911 Turbo, the rich people are more worried about image, rather than performance.

  • @NakedSnakeBlGBOSS Alright, I can agree with you on that. I just prefer Mercedes because of the exterior and interior styling, not the brand name, or even that fact it's European, I just think they're great cars :)

  • @Daniel7681

I'm pretty sure the brand being the oldest German automobile company is helping you like the company in some ways. Just like I see Lexus as the finest luxury brand in the entire world, due to the fact that it is Japanese and is the luxury division of Toyota, the biggest automobile company in the entire world.

If you look at Hollywood celebrities' cars, I've seen tons of people driving an R8, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Bentley, etc but Nissan GT-R? None. I am dead serious.

  • @NakedSnakeBlGBOSS I just prefer Mercedes from the design aspect. I just think (and this is just my opinion, and I mean nothing by it) that for the money you will be spending, you'll be getting more out of the Benz then per say a Lexus. I just can't warm up to Lexus because they look so much like the Toyotas, and for the money you will spend buying Toyotas luxury brand, I think it should be a car that really stands out, or why buy one? Just my opinion. I do think they are great cars though.

  • @Daniel7681

I think Lexus should not try to look like anything too flashy like German cars. Lexus targets quite conservative people who value reliability the most like myself, and I believe the design of Lexus is good the way it is, since it does not "try" to look like European. Look at Lexus LFA, does it look anything like a Ferrari or Lamborghini? No, it looks, Lexus. That is Lexus' own identity. Besides, I like the LS design better than an S class myself.

  • @NakedSnakeBlGBOSS Ya, Japanese cars are unique, completely different from other looks. I think I could eventually warm up to the look. I agree the S-Class exterior could use some work at best, and the LS is the better looking when comparing the two. Do you like the look of the Mercedes E-Class? That's probably one of my personal favorites right now.

  • @Daniel7681

BTW, the stereotypes against Japanese cars would be,

Cheap, econo-box, Jap crap, copycat of German cars, boring, soulless, unintended acceleration, etc. Reason is simple, many people do not believe there is a such thing as sex appeal to the Japanese cars like Ferrari or Mercedes, at all.

Doesn't matter if there is a Nissan GT-R, many people see it as just Nissan Sunny and consider comparing GT-R to Ferrari as a "blasphemy" against Ferrari.

  • @NakedSnakeBlGBOSS The whole acceleration thing really gave Toyota a bad rep they didn't deserve. Some retarded people looking for a way to get rich quick. Japanese cars are hands down the most reliable cars in the world.

  • @Daniel7681

BTW, How many people who are against the elitist European cars like me do you see? Not a lot, or am I wrong?

The European cars are not really that reliable compared to the Japanese cars, but do you see many people talking about it? No.

By 2008, 220 Bugatti Veyron(European) has been sold and yet, there still is a lot of people on the waiting list.

From 2006 to 2007, only 24 SSC Ultimate Aero(American) has been sold.

...it's really sad, to say the least.

  • @Daniel7681

And also, I do not remember seeing a celebrity in Hollywood driving a Dodge Viper somehow. There were some Corvettes, but only a few.

With those things in mind, you can NOT seriously just judge the American and the Japanese cars based on the brand power. Because in terms of brand power, the American and the Japanese brands do NOT stand a single chance against the European. And most likely it will stay this way for the rest of our lives.

  • @Daniel7681

Anyway, my point is that CTS-V is quite promising as a performance vehicle.

It is said that Cadillac is releasing 3 more bigger cars, one being an XTS, and 2 more cars that will be the halo cars of Cadillac, just to compete against an S class.

Will Cadillac be the standard of the world once again like back in the days? No one knows, but we will have to see. I just hope that happens, as I am a huge fan.

  • @NakedSnakeBlGBOSS I agree, Cadillac is a great brand, we do take it for granted though having such a huge presence of it here in North America. The market is largely dominated by European brands when it comes to luxury, but it I'd love to see a North American brand give them a run for there money in the future.

  • @Daniel7681

I don't think Cadillac will be able to steal many customers from the German giants, to be honest. At least for 2 decades or something. Thing is, whenever the new BMW or Mercedes car is out, I see them on the road RIGHT AWAY. But even today, I have never seen a single CTS-V, nor CTS Coupe. Only just a few CTSs.

Reason is simple, the stereotype which is,

American brands = Plastic, unsafe garbage that faced bankruptcy

    still remains in the society.

  • @DroidNoid Consider what the CTSV competes with and it's price is amazing.

It's not a muslce car it's a world class luxury performance sedan that as of now is slapping around the euros. It competes with M5's and E63 AMG's not with point and squirt pony cars.

Cadillac's quality is damn impressive now and the CTSV is one hell of a machine and to anyone who says Americans can't make cars can shove this up their ass.

  • "New standard of the world"? My bosses 11 year old son said that he didn't like it because it sounds like the bar was lowered, minimum requirement was met...

  • Comment removed

  • I haven't seen american steel whip through germany this fast since the P51 Mustang haha.

  • Comment removed

  • @dmontayre m5 lost its meaning with e90 but f10 is going to bring it back. new m5 will be the beast

  • This is how you make a good car commercial. Awesome track, awesome car, and someone talking about how just awesome the car really is.

    Cadillac has it done right.

  • What an awesome commercial

  • i wish they didn't fast forward during some parts, it looks stupid.

    Still love the car

  • You got damn right!!!!

  • FACT:

BOTH THE M5 AND THE E63 AMG ARE NATURALLY ASPIRATED VEHICLES!!!

    THIS CAR IS SUPERCHARGED

MMMM....I WONDER WHAT WOULD HAPPEND IF I SUPERCHARGED THE E63 AMG

  • @TeamRSX03

    Doesn't matter.

  • @TeamRSX03

    they would break.

  • @TeamRSX03 So... The Bugatti Veyron has a W16 with 4 superchargers. I wonder what would happen if they did that to any other car. Doesn't matter. It is still fastest in the world.

  • Suck it World, America wins again.

  • Kept rewinding this for like 10 minutes during U.S. Open coverage... makes it easier to tell family about future vacation plans...lol

  • MotorTrend YouTube video: King of Sport Sedans Dethroned? - Cadillac CTS-V Vs Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

  • I have a 2010 E63 and say whatever you will, it's a superior car. I drove both of them before I went with the Benz. The CTS-v just does not have the same quality that the E63 has. Yes, the CTS-v is faster but it's drive line is old technology (2 valves per cylinder push rod engine and a 6 speed trans with a torque converter). Considering the engines are the same size, 6.2 liters, and the Caddy is supercharged, one would think it would blow the doors off the Benz, yet it doesn't.

  • @GRosa250 : No doubt the E63 is an amazing car but stop hating on the Vs 2V OHC design. Did you watch the Supercar battle on Speed last week? The E63 weighs 200lbs less which almost negates the HP advantage of the V and still could not beat the V in acceleration or handling. Somehow that good old 6 speed is working just fine and so is the bullet-proof small block. If I shell out 30k more for an E63 and buy into all this engine tech hype and wet-clutch SMG etc., then I'd want to see more.

  • @Ziggermaniac I'm far from a GM hater, I also have a 2009 Silverado with a Duramax, it's a great truck. Yes, I watched the supercar battle and I agree with you that the CTS-V is a hair quicker but the only handling test they conducted was on the wet track. Seems like a pretty silly test for a performance car "battle." Check out the motortrend track test video youtube.com/watch?v=vA3zpC5-jgs

  • @GRosa250 The E63 is a fine machine, but it's not worth $30k more over a CTS-V. Not even close. I have a 2010 CTS-V, and I picked it because it was offered with a wonderful 6-speed manual. Only BMW and Cadillac offer traditional manuals in their performance sedans. Mercedes does not. And I HATE automatics, even DSG's. Plus, the CTS-V is slightly faster around a track (and I do track mine), has a better looking interior. I do agree the CTS-V should have a DSG option though. Next model will

  • in your face German luxury sedan

  • And now every moron in a Honda Civic with Type R stickers and fartcan mufflers will seek out this car and race it, lose, and then cry to their mothers.

  • @samuraiinblack Well said.

  • man american cars is all about hp ahaha check out the new STI only 300 hp and the cts v has 550 plus hp and is 4 second slower

    now you suck on that!!!!!!

  • @samuraiinblack good one... :)

  • @arielatom03

And I believe the next version V comes out in 2013. They had better release that new M5 soon!

  • @unit36 probably later this year or early 2011

  • I love the way they straight call out M5 and E63 AMG.

Cadillac gave them the respect and let them know "its on" (or over).

If you don't know, now you know......CADILLAC!

  • This car is so awesome.. YOu have no idea...

After a programming i made to one of these, this car is so awesome... I just want one!

Cadillac and this CTS-v is again the new standard of the world.. Just as they say... it will be the car to beat and it will be the car to set the bar.

  • I love how all of the skeptics can't seem to get their head around the fact that America finally figured out how to make their cars turn.

You all could show a little grace, and at least admit that Cadillac hit a home run with the CTS-V, instead of acting like a bunch of little kids that just got their feelings hurt by a bully.

American cars don't suck anymore, get over it. You lot will have to find something else to criticize Americans for, like their big fat asses.

  • @pokey6733

    Best comment ever

  • @pokey6733 as much as i love american cars an the cts -v is a great one, it is unfortunately just an m5 with cadillac badging on it

  • @Alex19al the hell are you talking about? the only similarities these cars have is the class they are in. its like saying a sti is an evo with subaru badging on it

  • @BLACKSTEEL26 they still borrowed many of the design ideas from bmw. nonetheless i still like the cts v better than an m5

  • @Alex19al you sound stupid as hell ! what is borrow from the M5 that the cts v has, just shut up the engine are diffrent suspension everything....you are just one of those BMW fans that hate to see a better car top all of the rest, and to add insult to injury IT IS AMERICAN , that is why allof you are mad and cant except it ! i will tell you know i am an audi guy and to be honest nothing audi has can touch this not even the audi rs5 which is 35,000 dollars more then the cts-v !!! just give it up

  • @helion987 im american, i live in glendale CA, (you wouldn't understand) I hate bmws. BMW owners are too psychologically inferior to operate anything more sophisticated than an electric razor

  • @pokey6733 well said my friend

  • Q I think Cadillac could have saved it from "The New Standard Of The World", and I think VERY q dared to say that, and more when the rest of the range is well below expectations, with enough cars out of date. The truth seems to me ridiculous that slogan, q also do not believe they themselves, and without q has not yet left the M5, q enjoy the record while the Bavarian leaves the oven.

  • american car can't turn.

  • @polychronio: Are you 6-years old?? The V goes around the ring in under 8 minutes and you say it can't turn? Please go back to playing with your Legos :)

  • @polychronio Your parents couldn't complete a chromosome set, either, don't see me posting nonsense...

Can't turn, must be 2x as fast as any of the foreign competition in a straight line then! Go look up your pet car's best time around the ring, and weep, little whatever-it-is-you-are. Fastest sedan in the world around the ring, not just America.

  • @crazyirishdan your foreign cars are known for inabillity to turn.

  • @polychronio Well, aren't we an expert! Look up Top Gear's 'Muscle Car' episode and see what 'not able to turn' looks like. It looks like 600+ hp drifting gracefully around a sweeping corner. Corvette? Ever hear of it? Cobalt SS? As a matter of fact, do you even know what the Nurburgring IS? It's not a drag strip, I can tell you that!

If our cars 'can't turn' then every non-American sedan was just beat around the ring by 'a car that can't turn', somehow not a credible claim to superiority.

  • makes me glad to have one in the garage

  • @dvandentop Me too! :)

  • I'm not a GM guy. But I love the 4 door CTSV!

  • Now this is how you make a performance saloon!!!! Good Job GM, Lets keep up the good work...

  • People need to stop repeating stereotypes and look into current FACTS. Audi and Mercedes have had SERIOUS problems with quality control during the last decade. I admit to being a fan of both Audi and Mercedes, but I have tired of people being blind to reality. The CTS lineup, from Sedan to Coupe to wagon, and of course the incredible CTS-V are amazing cars. Outstanding. You are really cheating yourself if you discount them based on outdated ignorance.

  • @JeffInDFW Try TWO decades. Audi was never very reliable to begin with (an 'expensive VW' does not equal reliability in any universe I've been to) and Mercedes got sucker punched by Lexus and started watering down the marque to not lose more of the market than they did. BMW, reliable, please. Benzes and other Euro cars from 93-98 had BIODEGRADABLE wiriting harness insulation - fires, weird malfunctions, etc, and won't recall any of those cars, either.

And they're still not faster ;-).

  • very classy of them to give credit.. i like GM for doing this, good job, great video

  • The comercial is great!..but i don't think that is true.

  • not sure that's faster than an Audi RS6 or Porsche Panamera Turbo

  • @jbishot

    You would be correct -

    Porsche Panamera Turbo 7:56.0

    Audi RS4 (B7) 7:58

The RS6 Avant comes in at 8:09

  • @CED99 yeah, not to say the CTS-V isn't fast, it is. Just prob not the fastest anymore.

  • this happened on the first lap @ Road America during 2010 One Lap of America event. Brakes faded and crash resulted. URL: bit.ly / 9mYUyA

  • Standard of the World ? it's gonna run out of gas in round 2 and all the big german sedans overtake :)

  • @itsrick208 Are you being metaphorical, or literal, because the 2010 M5 gets 12 City, 18 Hwy. The 2010 C63AMG gets 12 City, 19 hwy, but the Caddy gets 15 City, and 24 Hwy.

  • @spuy767 nope, just patriotic. i guess a lot of americans, who have the financial possibilty to choose, will buy german

  • good ad.

this and the zr1 rocket one were very nice.

  • are you people serious? I think it would be best to wait for the new M5, or at least have a few great cars before considering ourselves "The New Standard of the World"

  • @monciu blah blah blah Americans don't wait for anyone.

  • As a CTS-V owner, I am very proud of this ad.

In addition, my car is dead reliable with no significant issues in a tick over 17,000 miles. Most awesome car I've ever owned.

  • Comment removed

  • Cadillac should have saved the "Standard of the World" tagline for when the ENTIRE lineup could legitimately back it up.

  • @NewmanNewsman We are talking about here and now. Why should they wait for anyone?

  • @b0nes2

My point is, no one questions that the CTS-V is arguably "Standard of the World," but one car does not a lineup make. As long as the DTS and STS are in the lineup as-is, Cadillac should reserve the storied slogan until all its cars can legitimately make the claim.

  • @NewmanNewsman Really? DTS has been the most reliable in its segment -- The Escalade is the highest rated full size SUV.. where are they not backing up this slogan?!? I have an STS-V and Escalade EXT -- GM hit homeruns with them both as far as I am concerned -- Obviously GM also backs up their powertrain as well -- the 6.2VVT paired with the 6L80E-HD (which is also paired with with the 4.4L VVT LC3 in my V) are quite impressive..

  • @silverws6ta

    Re: DTS

An ancient FWD platform with an engine making a max of 292 hp out of 4.6 liters, all while connected to a 4-spd trans is hardly "Standard of the World" material. As for the inside, the infotainment system is woefully lacking with its DVD-based nav system. There's no hard drive or, IIRC, even an aux input.

    Re: STS

You're right. The STS-V WAS awesome. Too bad they killed it. Now you can't even get a V8. Lame interior and tech too. Should have gotten the Chinese SLS interior.

  • @NewmanNewsman: DTS/STS are both on the way out to be replaced by the all-new XTS. At the same time, the smaller ATS will come out to compete in the 3-Series/C-class range. There is also talk of a new flagship sedan above the XTS. Be patient, my friend.

  • @NewmanNewsman

That "4.6" was the standard of the world when it came out in the early 90's. GM let it fall behind but in its day it overpowerd Benz and BMW by a whole lot.

    BTW

Cadillac offers hard drive based navigation on some of its models just like the Germans.

  • Gdwriter said it best. Cadillac needs to honor it's heritage more...now go claim the future. Make us Americans proud...again.

  • Love it! Not just the car (my next Cadillac will be a non-V CTS), but that Cadillac has brought back The Standard of the World. Not only does it reflect Cadillac's long heritage, it's true again.

  • I love this car. Way to go GM!

  • Don't hate, GM got this one right.

  • I love it, can I have one please?
