little boy gliders have a "pom-pom" That is the scrotum that actually hangs from the lower part of the tummy. and little girls have a small little slit on their tummy that's the pouch, Do Not open the pouch if the girl is preggers it could kill the babies

I am considering getting sugar gliders or a dog.... I want gliders, but I can't understand where the insects fit into their diet. When and how often should I feed crickets and meal worms, and where should I put them for them to eat it.

giving them worms and crickets should be given as a snack. i give them the hpw diet ( you can look it up and itll tell you whats in it) plus i tablespoon of veggies and one table spoon of fruit per glider. they they have all their nutrition. but there are other diets you ca give them =)

i am not aware of any parasite problems, crickets seem to be widely used as a protein source for sugar gliders

@raflim I would guess that parasites would come from wile crickets..... I dont think anyone feeds their gliders wild crickets.... or any pet wild insects at all. If so it is a very bad idea because of the parasites but if you go to the store they are usually bred, not wild and therefore no concern of parasites or pesticides.
