@mjjcng8958 Usher's too short,Marvin was 6' tall,and he don't have the smooth moves Marvin was blessed with, along with all his other natural musical abilities!~I know that's what great actors do and that's relay the spirit of the character they play. To my surprise Kieth Washington played Marvin in a play that Marvin's sister promoted, produced and wrote, i don't know how ,but he pulled it off~so anything is possibe, but Usher would not be my choice. guy that used to play in Law and Order,yes!

@tedkay you are so right but the reason why i refered to usher is b/c he actually played marvin on the show american dreams. he sang can i get a witness and he smashed it. if anything usher is the closest thing to actually looking like marvin gaye. i heard about that play but i never saw it, the guy kinda does resemble marvin though. jesse l martin, still not sure about him yet.
