I don't care how bad people thought Millie and Beymer were. Just look at these two people, look at them really hard and very closely. And then say to yourself, "these two are going to Auschwitz, where they will be degraded, humiliated, abused, and eventually killed." Stevens wasn't looking for another Garbo, he was looking for someone who we would want to protect and care for, and I think he succeeded in that sense.

i love old songs, the music used for this movie is completely beautiful and everytime i hear the songs I can not hold my brain to think immediately in Anne Frank, Millie Perkins has such a cute voice, she's beautiful and the movie is totally amazing.
