  • Saw this movie from the restored footage back in 1970 in Philadelphia, PA. My father thought I was crazy going to see a movie that had been out for 37 years. Only time he was ever wrong - One of the greatest cinematic experiences I ever had. Most of packed a helluva wallop back in 1933. One of the greatest movies of all time!

  • @elbogito1 I envy you, sir.

  • Old films had such great soundtracks.

  • The 30s were awesome.

  • The impact of seeing the 33 version on a motion picture screen is powerful stuff! Seen it this way several times.

  • this is my favourite movie!

  • AWESOME!!! SENSATINAL MUSIC OF MAX STEINER..

  • In the first picture in this video, is Kong giving the T-Rex's teeth a clean?

  • @Cool2BCeltic HA HA! Mabye Kong is part time dentist on the island! But in all seriousness, it does look like he's shoving something down the T-Rex's throat.

  • they used this theme briefly in the new film when kong is on show in the theatre.

  • Max Steiner composed some truly great music, and KING KONG is his finest. In terms of its originality and what it brought to the film dramatically and emotionally, the score for KONG is pure genius.

  • A dislike?!? Guy musta had his baby trampled to this music.

  • Well, Dragonlordmike, the cinema geniuses who created this movie would be happy to know that 77 years later, their little movie is still considered to be one of the greatest movies EVER made, and we still sing its praises.

  • REDOLENT BABY R E D O L E N T ! GREAT MIX!

  • I can feel the emotion and excitement just listening to it. It's so hard not to get goosebumps during the opening credits or choke up when Kong is dying and plummets from the Empire State Building.

  • The immortal Max Steiner's Overture, Main Title and incidental music, voice and sounds from the greatest fantasy film of all time; in the AFI's top 100 of the 20th Century list . . . . "They keep that wall in repair . . . they need it . . " - Carl Denham

  • Overture and Main Title by the immortal Max Steiner. Some of max's music used in the 2005 remake - to ill effect, IMHO . . .

  • @WimGrundy

Gee. I thought Max's work was the best part of the 05 remake.

  • Is this the Main Title?

  • @Lavalampoflava - It is until about 1:50 - the rest is various other themes from the film

  • Max Steiner, the great composer who wrote this dramatic score for one of the greatest motion pictures of all time, also wrote arguably the most beautiful of all movie themes: the theme from "A Summer Place", still played today and known by all. They don't make 'em like that anymore.....

  • @tmattyman Sorry, but i agree.

  • King Kong is freaking huge in the original!

  • the best of all king kong movies. classic, brilliant!

5***** thx for upload this soundtrack.

  • This music is as much Kong as the actual Konk himself, hes like the original jaws, its the music that makes up much of what King Kong is! BRILLIENT!

  • Thank you for the upload I was looking for a piece of this music.

  • What's the orgestra name?

  • I mean Max Steiner.

  • How would you know if it's his?

  • He's definitely German, but how would you know if it his Max Steiner?

  • Are you sure that Max Steiner is the Composer?

  • Is that the Composer's name Max Steiner? How did you find that out?

  • Doh MAX STEINER! Google him. This is the most important soundtrack of all time. all soundtracks can be traced back the this monumental film great. This man was the master!

  • Its orchestra!!!!!

  • Oh but Max Steiner is a composer you know?

  • Awesome.
