  • International Photography Educator! You bet dude! You rock! :)

  • if they say no flash photography can i still take a picture without using flash

  • @andoru69 Yep, That is where the skills come in to play. I don't know the reason for "no flash" but if you shoot correctly you can get the shots. Good luck

  • @FontanaKnowledge I don't know about other types of museums, but museums that showcase paintings usually put up that restriction 'cause flash could actually damage paintings over time. So I guess they give restrictions for preservation purposes :)

  • i subscribed :-)

  • I love your sound-effects you make with your mouth! Lol.. You crack me up!!! Thank you for this videos - you make me and many other people feel empowered and inspired. You make this world a better place through your passion.

  • excellent value Sammy, thanks for your enthusiasm and zest..

  • I have an example of the difference between knowing and experiencing.

I've always known the moon was up in the sky (I like looking at it and have taken photos of it) and I've seen all kinds of photos of it. However when I first saw it through the telescope a few days after a new moon my mind was blown away. It wasn't just a "picture in the sky" anymore. It felt real.

I guess it's the same for photography. When you actually take that photo you've read about it feels real.

  • You are awesome man, Keep doing it!

  • Merci Robert,

Inspiring talk; I am working hard at knowing my camera setup, what they do, how they interact and can't wait to reach a level of creative photography where I can be quick to assess a situation and get what I am aiming for. Practice Practice....

  • Dude... you a just great!

Maybe cuz you remind me about myself - being a bit crazy d:

  • I REALLY LOVE, how you teach! You're setting so much free, what I didn't think about or even never thought of. This video again is a great example again. Creativity is experienced so subjectively. Nevertheless you are able to put this stuff across to your audience... just great! Keep up the good work! Greez Equi

  • Thanks for this video, I have found myself feeling like I am trying to please someone else's idea of great photos and not myself. I have a lot of ideas of what I want to try and learn to do, but just needed some encouragement on how to do it. Thanks so much for saying all that you did, this was a great lecture. I'm gonna be brave and go out an try some things!!!!

  • Thank you so much!

  • Lots of "You know".

  • @Roowaan Well I hope you do now... You know

  • Look at those video effects you got there! Steadily zooming in, green screen, and the text.. Great! Congratulations on the new format.

  • Cool input..............Thanx!

  • lol love the zelda reference...

  • welcome back, my friend. great advices

  • Robert, you explained it so well I couldn't help but feel inspired! Thanks for the vid!

  • Perfect. You explained it well. I've always said that photography is an art of the mind. But we fight against machines to make what we saw and felt in our minds a physical object to show others. I'm gonna add your idea to the end of that; that a good photographer is someone who is minimally encumbered by their machine. Where there is a minimal difference between what was in your mind and what came out on paper.

  • great

  • Woohoo yeah :D

    Great advices!

  • I love your video's too, very informative, easy to understand, directed at us amatures without too much tech speak. Great work. There is one thing, though. You said "You Know" over 75 times in this vid. I understand it is a nervous habit but you just might want to be a little more aware of it and try to avoid the filler word trap. Thanks so much for the tips that you give and the contests you do. One of these days I will get brave enough to enter.

  • very nice, a real good advice! :) thx!

  • This is great! ;) Thanks Robert!

  • Haha, little spirit camera. =-)

  • Great stuff Robert, thanks for taking the time to make these

videos and share your insights! Very much appreciated.

    Keep up the good work

  • welcome back master. :P

  • Makes a lot of sense. An aspiring photographer like me can learn a lot from you. :)

  • He's back!
