I have come a LONG way from where I was and also have a long way to go before I am truly free to do what it is I am to do...I hope this is helpful, and thanks for putting yr video out there....
I am training for self mastery, and meditation is helping me become increasingly aware of these experiences,at different levels, and also to see them with some objectivity, and thereby to re-interpret integrate them. This seems to release the tension/discharge the energy gathered around them.
I have also consciously begun training my will (you can refer The Act of Will: Roberto Assagioli).
I hv the same problem - I cannot complete most things I set out to do, this keeps me from starting on the stuff that truly interests me.I usually give up v.early on & tend to get depressed since I couldnt do what it is I wanted to.I agree that there are experiences which at those particular points were interpreted in such a way that energy gathered around and got stuck on them.
Find out who you are! Love who you are! Know what you want! Believe that you can achieve what you want and that you deserve it! That you deserve to be loved by others, by angels, gods... Love everyone and if you are so filled with love, feel the love to and from the Earth, the Universe, ...I just finished reading The Zahir and was convinced that my way is going in the right direction. Love, Efidea
Coelho is a wonderful author, very inspiring. I've only read the Alchemist and Eleven Minutes, I've started the Pilgrimage- it's great so far, but I've been playing so many video games! lol THAT i haven't been able to finish the Pilgrimage!
we don't think win because we don't believe we can, in my opinion is because we don't know how. is because we are not ready due to the fact we don't know. ignorance, change, growth, a lot to say..i think i will answer with a video..is too much to explain in this little rectangle box.
Great Video. This list making of tangible accomplishments is an important part of cognitive therapy...stepping out of negative thinking habits. Check out Emile Coue on wikipedia.
I am also reminded of something I read by Alan Watts (just yesterday) in his book "Become What You Are".
"The essence of Lao-tzu's philosophy is the difficult art of getting out of one's own way..."
...maybe you should start at day 90? *grin* joke aside: 100 days is a pretty long time to stay focused on one type of mental analysis, when the mind naturally wanders so far in just a week...
then i need to figure out how to go about with the education bit, as a good example, when it's comprised of so many different modes of thinking that come in much smaller chunks :)
iv always believed in-believing in succeeding. that said i have a tendancey to stop projects & put it on hold. i guess the problem is bringing the belief forward to stop that bad habit. thanks-you made me concious of it again.
The quality of our beliefs directly influences the quality of our lives. I think that so much of it comes from experiences in the past (failure, rejection, humiliation, etc.) and a substantial portion comes from our environment (i.e. parents). Of course once we become conscious of these influences we can take control of what we allow to influence us and decide when we need to take matters into our own hands.
I have quit everything from school to jobs to relationships. I can see it as negative or sometimes I see it as fully justified in that the things we are programed to strive for are not fulfilling.
Welcome to Capitalism. It's a catch-22. You're can be either a part of it and settle, or make an attempt at the thing that you really enjoy! That's the tricky part.
Sara, I always love seeing your bemusing smile, & I really enjoy & share your outlook on life. I know exactly what you mean when you talk of "psychological blocks." It's a constant struggle to get yourself just "right." A lot of it has to do w/ getting organized, and getting over one's fears. I'm a notorious procrastinator, but I have improved on it. So it is possible to change! Acomodador sounds like a form of psycho-analysis. My advice: Just keep on "LIVIN!"
Wow, You are really cute. You remind me of a young Björk!

SentientComputer 4 years ago
yes. and although it is a natural mind wandering.. i would like to also achieve some things that take longer than a week to completion ;)
puzz912 4 years ago
sure, sure! :) but one mode of thinking is long for 100 days even if we are compelled to complete something lengthier, as an education

hmm...ok, but I was just saying that I wouldn't beat myself up over not staying in the 100 days challenge mind set. have fun studying! :)

i justify a lot of these things too :) but i want quitting to be a choice i make intentionally, rather than out of fear.
puzz912 4 years ago
Not fear for me, more apathy and contempt. A desire to leave the circus and find the natural.
