Interesting .... about the praying to God for something you need, etc.
And you find that the Quran (40:60) says that God says, - pray to me, I will respond to you. * So its a guarantee that God will indeed answer your request, your prayer, your supplication to Him!
And Muhammad (the last Prophet) explained this, saying -- 'Whoever makes a prayer to God asking for something, either one of 3 things will happen...'
Either you pray for something & you say "O God! Bless me with a... Cadillac Escalade. I love it so much, it's my hearts joy! Give me from the goodness in this life & the Hereafter. And protect me from Hell-fire"
After you make the prayer, ur either going to get the car. This is Number One. So next year, when people see you, "Hey, where'd you get this car from?" ~ You're like, Prayers dude, try it! :D ... Nice car sitting outside
OR (possibility two that Muhammad said) ~ God is gonna give you something better than it. So instead of a Cadillac Escalade, you get....? A BMW X5 - or something like that. So it's like, 'No I didn't get the Escalade. :( But I got the BMW instead.'
Or (outcome 3 of your prayer) ~ God protects you from some harm. Maybe God knows, that it's not good for u to get this type of car. Maybe God will protect you from something. So maybe some big calamity was about to happen [some great harm was about to take place] - and God didn't give you this - but because of you continuous prayers, He gave you that instead. He saved you from that, by virtue of your prayers :) :)
Let's imagine that ~ lets say, a woman. She made prayed "O God! Bless me with children" And her whole life she never lost hope in that prayer. She always prayed -O God, bless me with children. And she never gave up
She's either gonna get the child, or God will bless her with something else or, protect her from some calamity - but lets just say, she had a very rough life. And then she went 2 the Hereafter. She was never blessed in this world with a child
What is waiting for her in the Hereafter? A believing woman, who was patient all this time -what's waiting 4 her in the Hereafter? As Muhammad said, that the person will come on that Day & will see all this reward. And they can't imagine, O Lord - I didn't do these actions - how can I have this much reward? And the response to that person will be, 'This reward that u see - these are all the prayers, that weren't answered in the world.' That God saved them 4 u for ur Hereafter. And here they are
And when the person sees this, they'll wish, that none of their prayers were answered in the world :D. None of their prayers were answered - so they would have all the reward in the Hereafter!!

There's actually a 4th possibility..
Let's imagine that ~ lets say, a woman. She made prayed "O God! Bless me with children" And her whole life she never lost hope in that prayer. She always prayed -O God, bless me with children. And she never gave up
She's either gonna get the child, or God will bless her with something else or, protect her from some calamity - but lets just say, she had a very rough life. And then she went 2 the Hereafter. She was never blessed in this world with a child
