u think u did well for a 50 gal for $200? i spent under $100 and made myself my own damn 600! with filtration lighting substrate plants driftwood stand and livestock and the livestock itself cost $60!

walmart they have tons nobody buys them so they sell for super cheap amazing deal never had anyproblems and i have my tank for 3 years and never turn of lights and only changed 3 bulbs so far only cleaned tank once stays very clean
@mike187ism - that tank is way too small for 5 reds and if you keep them in there they WILL kill each other 1 by 1 and if they have been there for 3 years they are stunted. that lobster will be eaten as well,.. same goes with the tetra and the other fish. although those little fish can last a while they will get them eventually. in 3 years you cleaned the tank once? dude just sell your fish to someone more capable.
piranhas hate direct light, you need more duckweed and a timer on a 12/12. and that blue light is not helping. also piranhas produce too much waste for most single hob filters. also on craigslist you can get much better quality tanks/stands for the same price if you look carefully. oh and another tip, dont be a douche.
