Mangosteen is a diva fruit. In order to grow it has to be by a river; in a hot, humid, tropical or subtropical enviremont. If it grows without a river that is somewhat rare, but it still needs a really hot and humid climate.
Im not sure if anybody offers the tree for sale. Not sure yet on the timing either. Our seeds have not yet sprouted out of the dirt. Will keep you posted on any progress. Also try search how to grow mangosteen for details from the experts. :)
Thanks for reply. Are they still in season? i tried Mana store for the past 4month and never had a chance!!! can i buy it from you or your friend? you can email me to: tatyemerald at yahoo.com thanks

Thanks! We got them from a friend. I planted the seeds just a few weeks ago so we will learn as we go on the growing. We have seen them at Mana Foods in Paia however they are seasonal. Check with them. They only ripen on the tree. You cant pick them pre ripe. If you find any more on Maui let us know!
Do you have any mangosteen or do ou know where to get it on Maui? I was hunting for it for months but cannot find it. I also have questions to you about growing it on Maui.
