Wow, just heard about this. As a new rx8 owner, I've been following the Speedsource team all year, sucks to see this happen. The driver of the Prototype deserves to have his card pulled by the governing body...coming back onto the track, perpendicular and into a 4th gear corner?! Sheesh.
The 31 car is a piece of crap. Throw in a rental driver and you have a recipe for a big wreck. They were 8 to 10 seconds off the pace all weekend. Those pogues need to go back to club racing.
I was sitting in the stands in that corner when it happened, the whole crowd was expecting Seth to get punched for taking out the Mazda. Big hit, but glad they were both okay after.

look at the guys windows. There covered with ash like sand and you can not see him so hi probably could not see the mazda.
now the dp cars start ahead of gt cars and he did not realize this so when he when to rejoin hi had thought that the gt cars had gone by and rejoind.
