  • One other comment on this. I can give you the exact lat / lon on the touchdown as I have it from my gps capture. You are welcome to go have a look on the ground.

  • I do agree that there were a bunch of BS reports on this storm. I chased it all the way from Medford OK saw all the cycles.

The TVN video from yesterday was a joke. They were claiming a rain wrapped tornado when they were in the wrong place and had no view of it. There was a Very Very weak tornado on the ground for a few seconds, but it wasn't rain wrapped. They were just in the wrong place...

  • sure this isn't a gustnado? We had very strong inflow into these storms and a LOT of dust getting picked up. I dont see any circulation in the cloud base, which with no condensation funnel, you need to have to verify it being a tornado... not trying to be a buzz kill, but I've been searching for something to convince me that a tornado occurred anywhere in S. KS yesterday and I haven't seen anything anywhere that shows it, but I've heard a lot of people say there were touchdowns.

  • This wasn't inflow kicking up. The video is not the best, but visually there was a debris cloud. Rotation under the storm was not very good at all at the point of the video. It was much better 30 min or so earlier.

This was the last of the Tor as it checked out. I had another chaser see it drop over the hill and I caught it as it fell apart. Only a few seconds, but the ground truth was there even if the video is not so great.
