"Obama in appointing Immelt last January praised him as a business leader who "understands what it takes for America to compete in the global economy." Apparently, what Immelt understands is that what it takes to satisfy corporate interests instead of national needs is conning a president into looking the other way while you send jobs abroad." --Robert Scheer, Huffington Post
Jeffrey Immelt recently sold out America, GE will do this through a joint venture with a Chinese company, Aviation Industry Corp. of China (Avic). Avic makes avionics for CACC and for China's military -- including its stealth fighter. And this guy is Obama's head of job creation.
I know one thing!!! I am a real estate agent and in a tract of 200 homes every home owner has a problem with their GE home appliance. Not one person is happy and GE's customer service is the worst. What ever you do, Don't buy their home appliances. You will be really really sorry.
Jeff Immelt seems like a good guy and going through business school now, I can appreciate this talk.
He probably does care a lot about money because thats his job, to increase earnings and give better returns to investors. GE seems to care about their people too with their leadership programs, but that could just be good PR they put out.

General Electric is, in part, responsible for the mortgage crisis. They own WMC Mortgage, a big subprime lender.
