I love the images you paint with just the notion of the box. How you show that boxes take many forms: form simple homes to multimillion dollar science projects.
In those few lines you masterfully put into perspective how simplistic even our greatest creations are. It's a humbling sentiment and one that gets me searching my soul.
How you capture that sense of irony. How clever we are with the use of cardboard boxes. Yes, we can also make homes out of them! We want to know if we are alone? Of course we are alone, one only need look around where one lives. You mix into this poem history, astronomy and philosophy. Your poem poses a whole range of questions and conundrums. Beautifully edited and arranged as always. You create wonderful pieces with your feel for expression. Very much enjoyed
If there is life on Mars would we recognize it as life? Great poem as usual makes you think! especially the line....some of us are sheleterd in cardboard boxes picked by trash.....
And if there were would it be as strange as here? "some of us are sheltered in cardboard boxes picked from trash" ---- I see this often. How very strange. Thank you for your good eyes and ears and heart.

Chuck Norris has already been to Mars; that's why there are no signs of life there.

Yup! Like this very much. Could almost be a section from Ginsberg's America! Your gentle approach makes it more telling though.

Nice work, James.
Perhaps Mars himself is alive just as Earth is?
I don't know.
