maximus thrax was a thracian. The tallers ruler ever : 2,41 meters. The roman empire , had 80 emperors in which 42 of them were of thracian -illyrian origin . Illyrians were in fact thracians acc to many sources ... but other sources divide them ... .

Thrax was beheaded after being assassinated by 11 spear carrying soldiers as he slept I don't think skeleton has been found but Smert was found 7 feet see "Strength Proved" re the freak Tom Topham. Historia Augusta mentions Thrax. You might try Vatican Museum for info has statue of Thrax.
