I hate the happy ending that contradict everything they said all movie long. I wanted the movie stops right when they kiss.

I would have preferred this ending too, and really thought that's how it would end. The ending in the movie is "happier", but this one is more intelligent. Never bet against a happy ending to a Hollywood movie, though.

well the souce code is supposed to be like a program/simulation, in this case the last 8 mins of the teachers life. the fact that he exists beyond the 8 mins means its not just program/simulation or whatever. and that its an alternate reality. it puts a twist on things. i like the original ending

Yeah I agree I wish the movie would have just ended right after the time freeze thing then it would have left the viewer wanting more. Even though the movie left me wanting more this ending would have made me lose sleep at night

This would have been a nice alternate ending but it would end way too fast. I could understand if you faded out though. The ending we have is perfect in my opinion.

The original ending was mind-bendingly stupid. The writers wanted a happy ending but they had written themselves into a corner so they just decided to leap over a shark to get their ridiculous ending. This is how it should have ended.

@Suphiso Uh no he doesnt. Thats the whole point of the last part. He sends an sms to the "alternate reality" woman at the source code facility and tells her that source code doesnt just recreate the last 8 minutes. It creates a whole new universe. Thats why they even showed that black guy saying "A train bomb was just avoided. One day a real terrorist attack will happen then we can use source code".

I like the movie's real ending. It's a total mindfuck. Discovering that the source code machine actually created a parallel universe. I thought it was very cool and ingenious.

I agree and disagree at the same time. I agree because it's such a great scene to end with, and it carries enough emotion as it is. But I disagree because the end totally twists everything around. This ending would have been bittersweet, and I like that. But the real ending threw in some more sweet and debate-ability. Something to talk about and discuss and think about.

But I would have liked this ending too.
