I want one. Also I don't understand the comment about it only being in sheet rock. She is clearly running 4 lag bolts into the 4x4 studs. As a carpenter I know that that safe is quite secure. It would take quite a bit of time and destruction and noise to break that thing out of the wall. It's really about discouraging a thief who wants to get in and out. I would use it in my pantry downstairs to keep my 9mm so that I could more quickly shoot the crow bar guy. :)
That's not a wall safe. Its basically a safe bolted to sheetrock. I would wrench that out in 2 mins with a crow bar. A wall safe to me, is buried into a concrete wall.
@boscoesarmy Your right thanks for stating the obvious. But out here in West 95% of the homes have drywall and stud construction its not ideal but its what we got. Even the outside walls are drywall, sticks, and stucco.
@boscoesarmy if it doesnt work for you Dont buy it, it's that simple. The video seems to be geared a individuals whom have already made the educated decision to purchase this unit and understand what they purchased, there is not a safe on the market that is burgalar proof, every "good quality" safe that you purchase is easily cut open from the back no matter how much attention to stregth they have placed on the door and lock assy a cordless angle grinder will get into just about any safe
Easy to take the safe and run with it. Just get a reciprocating saw and cut a couple of inches across the drywall and studs @ the top and bottom. Then on both sides and you can take the safe out.
@MrBubblegum01 Your right but out here in West 95% of the homes have drywall and stud construction its not ideal but its what we got. Even the outside walls are drywall, sticks, and stucco. Hell why use a door.
Uhum... that is a dry wall, right? I would NEVER install a safe like that! Now I am no expert, but can't you just tear the damn wall material off and steal that light weight safe? All you need is some tools, like axe and a crowbar. Exactly to what kind of a support element was that safe bolted into anyway? If it's only wood it's bolted into, it would take me about two minutes tops to steal that thing! And NO, I am no burglar, but know a lot about building and materials.
@Arekwestpaul I guess , you were really paying attention, Thanks.
When we cut an inspection hole we found a fire break and figured it would be easier (or at least faster) to move the hole over a few feet. It figures, when you're in a rush and shooting a video things don't always go the way you want.
does safes contain lead?
INaneek 6 days ago
@INaneek Lead is not common in safe. Did see one that had lead but the was 30 years ago and the safe was made in the 1800's

@DeanSafe I'd recommend a floor safe buried in cement in the basement then :)
boscoesarmy 4 months ago
@boscoesarmy We recommend floor safes as well, but none of the homes have basements so they just go into the ground floor

I wouldnt put a safe in a stud wall or a timber floor. its too easy to be removed. a solid wall would be so much better..

Hmm... Wouldn't the best cover up be to get a bunch of clothes and hang them up, so they kinda block it?

Wow, an easy to install safe, that you can comfortably lift with your hands, screwed on wooden studs behind a wall that can be cut with a knife.
What on earth could possibly go wrong????

HEHEHE... hanging a picture inside a closet.
Nope, there isn't a hidden safe here.
Nope, the hundred thousand dollars aren't in here.
Nope, there aren't any one hundred dollar bills inside the walls.
