Wolves are destroying the elk population, the Canadian Grey wolf was introduced to Idaho, it was never native like the Timber wolf (which is also being destroyed by Canadian grey's). I think it is much better to hunt the wolves to stop them from eating all their prey and starving, and also destroying native populations, a gunshot is practically painless.

I hate how wolves are still killed out of fear, hatred, and misinformation. Wolves are a "keystone species" everything lives off a wolf kill. The herds of Caribou, Elk, Moose, and Deer have a better chance of surviving now that a sick or injured member is dead. The plants and trees have a chance to grow big and strong without the herds eating all the little shrubs before they have a chance to grow, and after a wolf pack has fed on the carcass, other animals feed on it and live.

Nice pictures, its always good to see wolves not only being good family orientated animals and such but also hunting as well. I don't believe they are cold blooded killers but they are good hunters. I totally get what you mean. Wolves are killers, but that's because they have to be. If some animals didn't eat other animals, nature wouldn't work right. Everything would over populate and frankly nothing would be here at all. Some animals must die at a sacrifice to keep life going. Death brings life, and life brings death. It's always a constant cycle and just because it's more gruesome when wolves hunt doesn't mean our ways today are better. They don't have advantages that we have now.

Wolves are destroying the elk population, the Canadian Grey wolf was introduced to Idaho, it was never native like the Timber wolf (which is also being destroyed by Canadian grey's). I think it is much better to hunt the wolves to stop them from eating all their prey and starving, and also destroying native populations, a gunshot is practically painless.

The only difference is we go to the grocery store...we have slaughterhouses and raise animals in crowded unhealthy conditions and then kill them chop them up put them into packages sell them at the store and we buy the meat and go home and cook and eat it. @shinewolf12 My best friend's wolfdog, Kiba is 97% wolf. The only harm he has done was bite my nose. and he is... oh say... AROUND 9 YEARS!!! Just because an animal kills to survive doesn't mean they can't be beautiful and graceful.

@arianasof No, grey wolves especially are overpopulated in many countries, so we humans have to manage them or they'd kill off all the elk and deer population. Humans can regulate and bend the environment at their will, but you first have to have the courage and money to do so. For starters, you could stop using your computer to type pixels and instead spend that electricity bill on a charity like WWF. Just saying.

I hate how wolves are still killed out of fear, hatred, and misinformation. Wolves are a "keystone species" everything lives off a wolf kill. The herds of Caribou, Elk, Moose, and Deer have a better chance of surviving now that a sick or injured member is dead. The plants and trees have a chance to grow big and strong without the herds eating all the little shrubs before they have a chance to grow, and after a wolf pack has fed on the carcass, other animals feed on it and live.

That was a beautiful video with a hauntingly beautiful song. You did an amazing job, I loved it. I have always loved, admired, and respected the wolf. I hate seeing wolves being killed, but I understand that sometimes wolf packs have to be downsized so that there is enough wild game so the packs don't hunt livestock and that sometimes scientists examine the bodies to see whether a dead wolf died of a disease that could be contagious to the pack.

Wolves only pick off the sick, weak , or old ones ethier way so there not doing anything to harm the herd. And Vegans Aren't Wimps , I'm a Vegan and I can Beat up most of the People in my school so, GRR.

@thebeanster98 Then why did they pick of that woman off the sidewalk, savagely kill her, and then leave her corpse. And there are many instances of this happening. Also, surplus killing. There have been cases when dozens of sheep were slaughtered in their pens in one night. There was one missing, probably eaten, and the rest were on the floor, some intact, others with a bite or two, but that's it.
Vegans aren't wimps, that I agree. But perhaps he means it in a sense that vegans can't face death?

Wolves lost there place in the food chain when we came along. We manage the deer the elk and all other game just fine we don't need em, they could stay if we could mange them like all the rest that is hunt them, right now they are unchecked and ruining the game herds that we as montanains relie on for a living.

Wolves just hunt to survive. Each hunt costs necessary energy and many hunts are unsuccessful. This is also the reason why they sometimes kill more than they can eat at once - it's like a stock. Wolves hunt because they have no choice. Modern People hunt for fun, fur and for the luxury to eat wild meat. All wolves are hunters, but many human hunters are killers.

Nice pictures, its always good to see wolves not only being good family orientated animals and such but also hunting as well. I don't believe they are cold blooded killers but they are good hunters. I'm sure if they had other tools to use besides there mouths they could kill there prey much quicker but... they got to play with the tools they got.

Most people that fear or are paranoid about wolves seem to be ignorant on their nature and history. They're not the brutal werewolves and man-killers of legend, but simple apex predators with a place in nature. Wolves have killed some people in history, but some were hunters who got what they dealt. Wolves kill little livestock, but that didn't stop wolfers from trying to wipe them off the earth. Wolves are basically just wild dogs and people that hate them probably hate man's best friend too.

Wolves are killers they do eat some of the animal but not always. They are not the animal a lot of people think they are. They are wasteful also, I live in wolf country. People that want them should contact there fish and game department and see if they could put some in there yard for the pets they think they are. Must be city folk!

good video. Though i rather not watch wolves killing, i respect their need to hunt and kill to servive. It is the way of nature.
I just dont like the fact that humans hunt wolves when we obvious do not need their meat or fur.

I totally agree with you... but I also find that I love and respect wolves BECAUSE they are savage and efficient killers. It's one of the things which I've always found to be awe inspiring - watching a pack of wolves working together in harmony to collectively kill and eat their dinner/lunch/breakfast.

I totally get what you mean. Wolves are killers, but that's because they have to be. If some animals didn't eat other animals, nature wouldn't work right. Everything would over populate and frankly nothing would be here at all. Some animals must die at a sacrifice to keep life going. Death brings life, and life brings death. It's always a constant cycle and just because it's more gruesome when wolves hunt doesn't mean our ways today are better. They don't have advantages that we have now.
