Followed the original story all right; A good example in how to bring in any "fine piece of writing" into the big screen with only "fine production team" so able to "pick up the same tune"; Fine actress too I should dating her once I got fully recover!!
@Artfreakxxx I just read the book and I can hardly wait to watch the movie, although I'm sure the book is 100x better. I'm 17 and I've been told to read this for three years. I fully agree with you on this book. :)
"Drippy Ashley Wilkes?" Well, I don't know about any other female here, but Leslie Howard was a pretty damn gorgeous piece of man meat to me, even if he was a tad old for the part.
@koko8maroco best slavery movie (well its more like a mini TV series) that you can get on DVD is "Roots". I think it was made sometime in the 80s but I'm not certain. It is excellent. Its educational, dramatic and accurate. I'm in the search for these DVDs myself. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. it is a fantastic series.
i love this movie and i love the book!! No movie will EVER compare 2 Gone with the wind. We need more actors like Clark Gable in the movies 2day!! oh and btw if you liked the book and/or movie then check out the books Scarlet: the seqeal to Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the wind, it picks up where the movie left off and also Rhett Butler's People, is Rhett POV... They are amazing books to read!!!
The book is soooo much better! It's my favourite book of all time and i love the movie too i think clark gable is the perfect man to play Rhett... THIS BOOK AND THIS MOVIE ARE BOTH TIMELESS!! im 18 and i wish more people my age read and watched things like gone with the wind instead of twilight...
I'll never be hungry again... - Vivien Leigh as Scarlet O'hara with Clarke Gable... in 1939 Best Picture Epic... GONE WITH THE WIND.. World greatest Pic ever..
