yep works, i just opened my bmw e36 =) you need to tighten the knot very well so the loop wont close whilst u manoover the loop into position

you pull only one of the ropes through the loop (just for 1-2 inches) then hold that new loop you made and tighten the first loop around it... it's actually a very simple and effective knot. I did it from watching the video, 3rd try :P

To be more precise, the car in the video is a Renault Clio MK1, and in a Clio MK1 (and plenty of other cars) with power locking, when you pull one of the pins the central locking system will automatically activate and unlock all the doors.
