Great stuff thanks for that, it really gives me a better understanding of Don's background and the progress of his thought. It was also interesting as it somewhat paralells my mother's life, although she quickly moved from her Anglican childhood to a Quarker adulthood. It was interesting to hear Don mention Quarkers as having been brought up one I was always puzzled by the fact that he had not made that move. Quarker universalism is now one of the most advanced liberal religions in the world
I sit with a framed letter from Don Cupitt on my desk... still the most radical theologian in the world. Sadly I feel he is being quietly eased out by the conservative evangelicals.
