  • I wouldn't get the surgery because I don't have enough money and incisions scares me.

  • @Lingstahle sorry about cost issues but the incisions heal to the point you really can't see them. :)

  • her eyes are still like little marbles lol but shes so pretty!

  • I don´t like my mono lids too so I can really understand her. However, if I had the money to pay the surgery, I still would not do it.

  • noot noot, I'm getting them done and I don't care what people think of it. :)

  • Nobody has the right to define what beauty is. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, meaning, different people find different things beautiful. I personally don't find artificial tan on women attractive, I think narrow eyes can look cute and larger eyes can be dazzling. Eyes that are too large are a little bit creepy though. I don't think promoting plastic surgery's a good way to encourage women to feel better about themselves, but hey-ho.

  • haha and you think asians are the "smartest"

  • I'd never want to go under the knife.. unless I'm injured or sth.

  • Whatt Method Did Theyy Use For The Surgeryy?

  • @Asianinvasion358 full-incision method, which i believe is the most reliable method to achieve long-term outcomes.

  • @samlammd why is full-incision method the most reliable method for long-term outcomes? Does the non-incision methods cause the fat to "grow" back?

  • @WhySoSerious930 no, there is just an unreliable adhesion from muscle to skin when there is no incision. you need the levitator muscle to stick to the skin to have a durable, permanent result.

  • Hm I think media has to do with the way we define beauty, now that I really think about it. For example, Asians find people like Kim Tae Hee beautiful but none of the Americans I showed her to found her super impressive the way Asians do. They prefer exotic, angular features like Du Juan, whose beauty I (being Asian) can't quite seem to grasp. Different media sculpting different ideals. It makes sense, right?

  • @TheSilviepie agreed. i understand what you are saying about what white and asians find attractive.

  • It's not about race. Large eyes are just prettier. Just like dark skin is better looking, which is why white women are lined-up around the block for tanning beds and sunless tanning.

  • As an Asian, I already have double eye lids, but the reason why I am doing research on this topic and might get the procedure done is because: most of my life, I have been asked and people have said, Are you sleepy? Are you tired? You look tired. Are you high? You look stoned. Have you been blazing it? Long night?

  • Hey, I have a question to ask, please reply. I have one double eyelid and the other isn't. So, I was thinking I want to be done like that, but how much does it cost just for one eyelid?

  • @21pxy hi, you NEVER want to do only one eye for two reasons: 1) your recovery will be terrible because you will have one swollen eye that will not match the other one for a year, which will look weird. 2) it will create two eyelids that will not match since the non-surgical one will not necessarily match the other eyelid. you should always do two sides. costwise, just give us a call 972-312-8188.

    best,

    sml

  • @samlammd hello, thank you for the detail.

  • @21pxy my pleasure!

  • I am getting this surgery next summer, which is the summer before senior year for me (because I have ptosis, one eye is smaller than the other) and I'm really just nervous about going to school the next year and having people point out my surgery :/ did many people point out your surgery afterwards?

  • @graccek it is really only noticeable for the first 1 to 3 months, with each week during that time that goes by being better than the last.

  • @APontiacof455cubes

We are beating around the bush. Different asian ethnicities have their own distinct features that makes them unique. For chinese people double eyelid does exist! I have double eyelids naturally and some with it still choose surgery to make it more prominent for makeup. Having a small nose and mouth (fine features) is characteristic of chinese descent and our ethnic ideal of beauty! It has nothing to do with looking white! Many white features are not considered beautiful!!!

  • Asian ladies, please don't change yourselves. You're beautiful just the way you guys are! Just like how I think that women should embrace their natural bodies, I think Asian women should embrace their eyes. You have beautiful eyes! I feel happy when I see Asians, espeically women. The expression and lines of your eyes remind me of happiness. You bring joy to others with your eyes. So embrace the joy and love who you are. Don't waste your money or time changing who you are. You're beautiful!

  • damn americans worry about ur own country getting fake tits and liposuctions you fat fucks and leave the asians alone with the eye lid

  • Japanese Plastic Surgery? False Claims & Anti-Japanese Movement-

    watch?v=R4LPAnsx3DI

Someone keep making ill-intentioned (and often false) videos about Japanese stars and plastic surgery.

    And sorry for an advertisement.

  • Hhhmmm... I remember hearing this being a hot topic a few years back. I guess it's still a very sought after surgery. I know quite a few asians and asian americans dislike their noses. I am one of those that elected rhinoplasty. I'm sure asians don't want to change their ethnicity. They're usually trying to maintain or enhance their beauty in some way.

I think asians have beautiful features. Moderate enhancements can really distinguish them from others.

  • @MrRhinosapien totally agree!

  • Another country i hear single eyelid are nice.

But my country i often hear single eyelid isnt cute. Im asian.i have natural double eyelid but not perfect.sometimes one side of my eyelid cover my eyeline.so sometimes when i make up,one side is i can't see eyeliner n eyeshadow - - another countries people say me u r beautuful but in my country especially boys say me gross!

  • She reading something from somewhere her eyes keep looking somewhere else -.-Anyway, it doesn't matter,

CAN I ASK DOES YOUR EYE LOOK BIGGER IF YOU DONE THE SURGERY???

I really want to know, thanks :D

    No offense made ><

  • @rinko123 it is an illusion but yes the eyes should look bigger.

  • @samlammd it's partially illusion but it does change the height~

but as for length~~ really an illusion~~

  • @loveboa1022 agrrrf

  • @loveboa1022 agreed

  • is tehgre such a thing as eyelash surgery..beacause i have terrible eyelashes

  • @chickenlikingood you can do eyelash transplants but in my opinion at this current time they don't work well.

  • @samlammd ok thank u..i hate my eyelashes..they are very thick and dont grow neatly, and kind of short..... can u suggest sumthing?

  • @chickenlikingood hmm, not really. sorry.

  • @chickenlikingood Oh, you can pluck all of them (not necessary) and stick the fake eyelashes on. It will be very beautiful, not thick, very neat and long (the length you want) too! My country have that. It is from a beautician shop. I don't know if your country have them. Sorry if I sound offensive just a friendly suggestion :D

  • I'm asian and I have double eyelids without surgery! I guess I'm blessed! lol

  • I bet more and more models and celebs will start making their eyes bigger.

  • asian are not just chinese looking people

    source:fact

  • Hi,

I am an asian too. I have never liked the size of my penis. Can I make it bigger and also same with the eyes.

    thanks

  • @lasku0007 i do not work on penile enlargement. i am sure you can find a qualified physician. i only work on the eyes.

  • ya baby will still look like you, you know. but I'm not agianst it. you feel like changing looks, thats fine but please tell your partner what you did to your face. people have different looks, thats what make this world interesting. I hate my big nose but there are actually people who love the way I look. If you ask me, I think black hair is more attractive than blonds. but thats just me.

  • You are right. You should be able to change whatever you don't like of your body. The real fact is that most people like what is different(the other)As a little boy I had big brown eyes and was knicknamed the frog. Now everybody likes them.I have always liked Asian looks(eyes) but I'd rather spend the money in expensive restaurants than on body parts.

  • I personally think monolids and double lids are equally attractive. But to anyone who takes offense to the whole white imitation thing. it's not about trying to be white or being ahsamed of your race. it's deeper and more well hidden than that. look at our world. it is extremely eurocentric, thanks to a vast history of conquest and trade. can anyone explain why the suit is globally tied to business and sophistication? ask why then ask why again. who says bigger eyes are better or thinner noses?

  • @User89620 I agree. Many people don't even think of why so much attention is brought to certain body features over others. I think that no one should change anything about them unless it is constricting their daily life (like the "Tree Man"). I think that it's strange how people are bred to think a certain way whether it be because of the media, family, etc. and no one questions it. There's 6.5 billion + people in the world, there's someone for everyone. Looks fade but true love stays IMO.

  • WTF?! Asians with monolids have eyelid surgery to have bigger eyes, not to look white/western. Asians who have natural double lids actually exist you know. Whoever came up with this notion is an idiot. So ONLY white people have natural double lids or big eyes?hahahah XD

  • @headonaplatter

    Arab do

  • WOW! i cant believe how many people think that asians get double eye lid surgery to look more "western, white, caucasian" whatever u wanna call it.

This is NOT the case. They have the right to get that surgery like anyone else, why do "white" people get their nose done, chin, cheeks whatever cosmetic surgery has to offer. Its all about self confidence and what you want. Not to be someone else.

If you going to get surgery just to please other people...then i highly suggest to think again

  • while i will admit that media crap encourages people to look white, that's NOT always why people get plastic surgery. like... she still looks asian. it's their body. beauty is in the eye of the beholder (isn't that how the phrase goes??)

  • Hey...How do I know those aren't her natural eyes? Where is HER Before & After pic?

  • @Yaminoken good point. they are on lamfacialplastics [dot com]. thanks for the comment.

  • does it work on non asians too? what if i already have regular sized eyes, can i make them look 3 times bigger? I would be more american than anyone!

  • @AchievementSpanker unfortunately, no.

  • It's funny how similar Life is to a Video game. Everyone wants to customize their character with fashion, clothes, hair-dye, surgery... Why not simply only breed the flawless, intelligent and attractive humans? If you happen to re-incarnate, would you rather have the genes of Jerry Springer contestants or of models and athletes? Just ask yourself.

  • Jackie Chan had that procedure done early on in his career.

  • dr.lam may i ask you how much this surgery cost?

  • @GizmoMofo7 you may but you have to email (info at lamfacialplastics [dot com]) or call (888-866-3388) to find that info out.

  • I'm sorry, but I've always loved non-European/almond-shaped/Asian eyelids. Amazingly attractive. I personally find this a waste of beauty, but as long as these women are happy, it's their perogative. :D

  • @yaaah25 I totally agree with you. I like the cat eyes look some asians have. Very exotic, mysterious and sexy. It is a waste of diverse beauty.

  • @yaaah25 I know you are stuck on Bobby Brown's song.. but the correct spelling is Prerogative.

  • @yaaah25 if you like asian eyes, check out "CM 2010" or "Making Jessica Alba asian" or "Are anime characters caucasian or japanese" which is on my channel.

  • look not all asians have single eye lids ok? gosh so stereotypical...

  • how long is this after she got it done?

  • 3 months after. her 1 year after photos are on my website: lamfacialplastics [dot com].

  • good job Dr Lam..

she looks good. I think this is sometimes done because of the "europeanization of beauty standards" but it still looks pretty on this girl.

    thanks for vid

  • It's ironic that the "cat eyes" makeup nowadays makes eyes resemble East Asian eyes...

  • it's weird. my mom's side of the family all have really big eyes and have a crease under the eyelid (if you know what i mean) and i have that too. so it's really annoying because when i look in the mirror, i look like i have a double eyelid but if you're standing over me and look down on me, the crease is hidden

  • that happens to most people....lol

  • how often do you have someone standing over you looking down at your eye lids??? hmmmm.......

  • Plastic surgery is worldwide. There are some Americans, Europeans, and Asians who had surgery. They look much better after the surgery. It's their individual choice. If they have money for surgery then go ahead, do it. Whatever makes them comfortable. Some Asian have single eyelids and some have natural double eyelid.

  • anyone can have single eyelids not just asians. more asians have it is true but some asians dont have it at all. just saying...

  • I wanna see a before and after pic... cuz sometimes you cant even tell the difference.

  • go to lamfacialplastics [dot com]

  • I WANNA DO IT!! I DO MY MAKE UP DARKER

  • i wanna do it T__T

  • I would have taken here either way....

  • theres nothing wrong with this, its just women trying to look prettier, u guys bring up all this race bullshit. men dont do this shit.

yeah ever met white women with HUGE NOSES?? yeah they get surgery to make their nose smaller and more "asian", does that mean they arent proud of being white and want to be asian?, no, its because they have a big fucken nose.

it has nothing to do with race, u white people think of the dumbest shit to feel superior.

  • @donisthabomb1 white women with huge noses don't get rhinoplasty to look more Asian. I'm a minority so I know the ethnic struggle with beauty but anyways.. white women get whatever surgery to get one step closer to their Nordic/Nazi beauty standards- ie, look at brown haired girls envying blond girls with blue eyes. Same thing- the ideal beauty is the barbie doll face aka something like a manufactured Britney Spears, or the "perfect caucasian face" and every race strives for that subconsciously

  • @chubbatheBOSS

FFS. Why do so many people think everyone wants to be white????? I sure dont. So that makes your dumbass statements false already. I completely agree with donisthabomb1. Why am I even bothering to argue with you.

  • @chubbatheBOSS What about the white women who achieved curvaceous figure through plastic surgery,Is it right to say they trying look more black or latinos,I must say I see lot more curvy non white woman than white woman in the US,what about those spend lot of time tanning their skin, should they be considered insecure with their whiteness the same way asian woman insecure with their eyes.?

  • @chubbatheBOSS

this notion about 'blond hair, blue eyes' as the IDEAL beauty standard is not only laughable but also boring. Sadly, it exists. We don't want all women to look like this or try to look like this...Variety is always good. =)

  • @donisthabomb1 your right in that this isnt racist, but white people dont get nose jobs to look more "asian" either.

  • @donisthabomb1 Yes, white women pay to get flat broad noses, yeah right.

BTW, I have naturally "double" lids, but can I get triple lids? Will that make me even more white?

  • @donisthabomb1 It's funnie you mention that White people think of the dumbest crap to feel superior when truly being white myself does not indicate that i'm trying to be superior at all. Do understand If you live in a white country and you're not [WHITE] realize the majority of the white race welcomes different ethnicities to their home lands and would not like to hear you bitchin and crying about what we think. if you disagree, then disagree don't go out of your way for an understatement.

  • @donisthabomb1

    RIGHT ON!

  • @donisthabomb1 so true!! most whites have big nose and they're obsessed with keeping them smaller.

  • @donisthabomb1 u missed the point. its the fact that the eyes are aiming to look more like Caucasian eyes. Black women straighten and color their hair to look more white, they lighten their skin to look more white, etc. Im not endorsing it, but thats just the facts of life man. You minorities like to beat around the bush about obvious facts.

  • @APontiacof455cubes Yet white women get nose jobs and chin jobs and whatever to make themselves look more delicate, which is signature of an asian look. Whites tan to be darker, which is distinctly changing the skin color to be more exotic. Everyone tries to look different. Race is not involved. Saying that people are trying to look more white is ridiculous, especially when the opposite argument can be made. Heck, and I'm a whtie girl.

  • @jypsyjulia When white women do that they are trying to look like the "ideal" image of the white woman which has been fed to us by hollywood. Japanese women IDOLIZE American women, especially the tall blonde woman. They make the bridge of their nose higher, Americanize their eyes, and go through PAINFUL leg lengthening surgery which takes months of being in braces which are screwed into your leg bones. Its amazing how you young kids just make up your own theories and then believe it.

  • @MrTruthAddict you're so wrong. asian women doesn't idolize american women. and we don't americanize our eyes either! as an example, asian women with small eyes (yes, there are A LOT of asian women with big eyes!!!!!) do double eyelid surgery to increase the oval of the eye which makes the eye look bigger and in better porportion to the face. NOT because we think "oh! american women has these kinds of eyes, i want them to". you're just being a ignorant patriot when you comment stuff like that.

  • @APontiacof455cubes

And white people are trying to look more Asian by getting nose jobs, and more like black women by injecting collagen in their lips. See what I did there.

  • @donisthabomb1 Hahaha. Thanks Donis. You said it all. I urge all these folks to grab a freaken geography book, map of the world, and learn abit about Asia, and come out of the box of their race, media and get educated. There is a big number of Asians who does have eyelids, light hair, light coloured eyes, and so on. It's just a pure stereo typing of some sort, & like you said the nose part about white women. It's just a beauty contest, & they have to involve race to make them feel superior

  • @donisthabomb1 But let them be. Ask them who conquered Europe. Every European today has Asian gene and blood in them. The look that they have today is not pure Caucasian look, but a mixture of Asian and Caucasians, because Asian conquered Europe and they got mixed with them. Go back and study about Mongol Empire, Hungarian (HUN) origins, and so on. There are very remote areas of Europe who are still pure (ugly), else they're mixed with Asians in majority.

  • Different part of asia have different type of eyes. you aint the only one filos!

  • Different part of asia have different types of eyes. so u aint the only one filipinas!

  • Filipinas don't have problems with their eyes coz GOD made the philippines the hot pot of culture: native filipino + asian + europian. Good thing though i'm here in RP!

  • whats RP?

  • Filipinos, Indians, Thais, etc have folds in their eyes.

  • ummm...my mom's 100% korean and she also has the eye-crease thing...same with all her 4 sisters, 1 brother, mother, and father...so i guess my whole family doesn't have a problem either!

  • filipino's are asian mate

  • She's hot...but im sure she was just as hot before the surgery - keep it natural ladies!

  • She looks great without the surgery. Asian women dont realize how bautiful they r...

  • that's cause society seems to convey other wise. eg. growing up, i was teased about my eyes, and called 'ching'. basically i was made to feel like an outcast cause i'm asian. yerrr it sucks. and it taunts you when you get older... that's why asian women don't realise how beautiful they are. even my mum plans to get eyelid surgery when she retires. omgosh!! :S

  • I'm sorry you were teased as a kid, kids are bastards and they'll pick anything different to ravage you, plus, they don't know anything but their own family. It's rough, I understand. An asian girl in my school (I'm a white male)was teased to the point of tears until the principal had to call an assembly and basically threaten all the jerk-offs with a beating if they didn't let up, he didn't name Anna by name, but we all knew who he was talking about. It was mostly girls and a couple guys.

  • trust me, as you mature, a sense of pride grows within you and you realize "wow, i love my asian-ness, i love my 'yellow' skin complexion, and my straight beautiful hair, and especially my cute eyes!" if your mom is getting the surgery be4 she faced this maturity than she is doing it for the wrong reasons [i honestly think she is not doing it to 'fit' in, i mean shes not in high school anymore] maybe your mom just wants t look more youthful. asian eyes get droopy at an earlier age. =]

  • hmm im born with the double eyelid

  • ahh she's majorly hot, however azn people must maintain their PRIDE and keep those asian eyes!! actually with no before pic I have no idea what she looked like before. Probably still hot I'm sure

  • Remember, plastic surgery is not for everyone

just be yourself and it'll show through

  • single eyes lids are pretty, but girls would never understand...it's just the 'grass is greener on other side' mentality

  • She is very attractive, I can really see this advert making people want to have the surgery.

  • oh i see, wonder why she is here,

  • why is on youtube? so funny, i know her and i didn't know she had surgery, we are HI5 friends, She is from Mongolia though,,,

  • no, she is from Dallas and is Vietnamese.

  • r you serious?wats her name then?

  • i can't reveal anymore data. that is against HIPAA privacy.

  • If the individual wants to have surgery, let them. They may have felt like an outsider growing up in a foreign country. I'm southeast asian and I was teased growing up but I'm happy with who I am. Besides, my eyes are big and I have double eyelids xD.

  • not all asians have double eyelids..

  • HEY... it's not actually Asian, but most Chinese, KOrean, Japanese.. the yellow skin tones.

  • exactly

  • damn, i'm cambodian (we're asian too)but most cambodian already have natural double eyelids, infact most southeast asian for that matter, but we're dark though.

  • Yes a lot of Chinese girls also have it. I would say 50%. I think more from the north of China, but it happens everywehre. It's really Korea and Japan where its not in their genes.

Agree that most south-east asians also have double eyelids.

  • i'm asian. 3/4 filipino, 1/2 chinese. but i have natural double eyelids... lol...

  • 3/4 filipino, 1/2 chinese?

    3/4=75, 1/2=50

    that equals to 125%.

    its suppose to 100%.

u can say all filipinos have double eyelids. filipinos are more like hispanic.thats y tagalog sounds like spanish.

  • nopee. i've known many filipinos who look chinese and dont have the double eyelid.

  • You're an ignorant person. Tagalog sounds Indonesia and Indonesian, Tagalog, Malaysian are all part of the same language family. Tagalog just incorporate some Spanish words into the language. Also how are they more like hispanics? That is really a stupid statement.

  • filipinos do look hispanics actually when you go to philippines some look hispanics, some are chinky and some are native looking filipinos. it's very rare in the philippines to have full breed filipinos except maybe for the poor people since they originated form a native land that wasn't colonized

  • Filipinos are Asians. They look nothing like hispanics.. Stupid ignorant comment. They have double eyelids, but so do thai, laos, indonesia, etc.

  • some filipino's do look hispanic. I have a filipino friend, I'm spanish and when I first met him I started talking to him in spanish cuz I thought he was latino also LOL

he does listen to reggaeton and latino music tho weird :P

  • some filipinos look like hispanics - think about it, the Spain DID colonize them.

  • i know some asians who where born with double eyelids, i used to think that they got surgery, but i was wrong since this girl who had eyelids was only eight-years-old and she wasnt half or quarter asian, she was full asian, so i was kind of confused. there are also some quarter or half asians who may be born with double eyelids or without double eyelids.

i like the fact that if you get this surgery, you still have that asian look.

  • It's east asians who have single eyelids. South-east asians usually have double eyelids.

  • lol

there are a LOT of asians born with double eyelids... unless youve only seen 1 or 2 asians in your life, its not possible that all the asians youve seen didnt have double eyelids. my sisters BOTH have natural double eyelids, so do my mother and father. a lot of my friends have them, too.

  • yup, its a smaller proportion of the population, but not every asian is single lid. many are partial, and some have full.

  • 8 year olds get eyelid surgery too! =D

  • She is so beautiful! She needs to be a model.

  • Wendy looks amazing! She looks totally natural and the results are beautiful!

  • Wendy looks amazing! Very natural! I think the asian eyelid surgery enhances her already beautiful almond shaped eyes!

  • beautiful. i checked out your website. great results.

  • thanks!

  • she looks hot

  • i dont know how you looked before but you look very pretty now

    it is very natural

  • one of my eyes is bigger than the other one i hate that!!!!! you can really see the differents between both eyes.. so thats the reason why i wwear glasses:S omgood i think that i'm gonna go to a plastic surgeon to if i'm finaly 18 !!!

  • OMG she is FREAKING GORGEOUS...are you serious she most beautiful asian girl i have ever seen in my life.

  • they should show a before and after photo!

  • go to lamfacialplastics dot com for her before and after photos.

  • mmmmm.. im not so crazy about plastic surgery still but my friend wants to get it done. guess shes still the same person inside. how much did yu get it done for?

  • Asian double eyelid surgery : Seen on CNN, durable suture technique (DST) - $2900 (1 day in area) - $4200 (incision with inner fold correction) - 6 days in area. Additional charges may apply for complex cases.

Prices are all inclusive, including Operating Room accredited by the State of California.

Asian nose surgery : Asian Nose surgery: $4900 (implant only) - $6900 (complete, with nostril narrowing) - 6 days in area. Additional charges (average ~ $1000) may apply for complex cases.

  • Cheekbone reduction : $8900 (includes operating room and anesthesia - one night in hospital is additional $700) - 8 days in area

Non-surgical jaw reduction : $550-$1100 (depending on dosage) - may return home on same day

  • WHere is the BEFORE picture/video??

  • i have heavy eyelids, i'm not asian but my eyes look almost asian eyes because of these heavy eyelids even though i have double eyelids, so i have to use lots of dark makeup in order to make them look bigger. should i undergo the same procedure or is it different?

  • Hm, I think a normal blepharoplasty is what they would do for that, but I don't really know...

  • I'm asian and I've always had monolids. Age 27 (two years ago) a double lid crease formed on my lids, I think due to fat loss with aging. How often does this happen with asians?

  • that happened to my mom i believe, well not the same. my mom didnt have double eye lides but when she got in her 20's they apeared..her eyes are big and very pretty and long like egyptian eyes, very pretty. my eyes are like my dads horribly ugly with no double lids i really want it!

  • haha keep hoping, it could happen. i had mono-eyelids until i was 19. suddenly one morning one eyelid turned double and then months later the other followed suit. at first the changes were a bit inconsistent (some days it would disappear or change) but now a year later they're consistently permanent. at first i didn't like the new look, but now i'm used to it.

  • are you serious? I wish that would happen to me.

  • hehe my brother can fake double lids if he looks up-the skin lifts and he positions it some way.but sometimes it appears too and goes away..my mum categorises it as the "hidden double eyelid"..my grandma had it too LOL

  • wow ur exactly like me. my mom was born** w/these beautiful double eyelid almond shape eyes (yep she was blessed) and I ended up with my dads eyes which is the opposite. but hey, i've come to love it because were beautiful in our own right regardless and it reminds me of him :)

  • I used to have small slanted eyelids like my dad,but after puberty my eyes started to resemble more like my mom, double eyelid, large and rounded.BTW I'm a guy.

  • I used to too but now I have weird double eyelids (one is a bit obscured). My dad didn't get them until he was older too but my mom and brother always had them and we're 100% Chinese.

  • I'm gonna take a guess that it's because you have southern Chinese ancestry.

My parents are from extreme north and extreme south of the country and I have half a creased eyelid, lol. It's there when I look straight ahead, gone when I look down.

  • Answer me something, what is the creased eyelid? I'd always assumed asian eyes were shaped by the almond shape of the aperture, like if you cut a hole in a bolt of cloth in the shape of an egg instead a circle, I didn't think it a trick of fleshy folds.

  • I think my mom said the same thing happened to her when she was 7 yrs old...though she was a fairly chubby child

  • That happened to my dad too! that does indeed happen with asians.

  • it has a higher chance for asians due to genetic causes or trauma to the eyelid area because for some reason or eyelid structure is more sensitive compared to occidental eyelids

  • It happened to me and to my cousin. She got hers around 18 and I got mine around 21. I woke up one morning and there they were! I know there isn't any scientific proof to back it up but I think mine had something to do w/ the way I was pulling my eyelid up when I was putting in/taking out contacts. I could be totally wrong though.

  • that's interesting how you developed the double eyelids. I had proper double eyelid creases until recently.now it's strangely puffy, and there's another crease, which makes the crease larger yet there are weird lines..my mum calls this triple eyelids? i dont know..it's really weird! My brother is the only one in the family without the lids lol and we're Vietnamese :P

  • does the double eyelid surgery hurt during the surgery and after? are you awake too during the operation? how long is the healing time. im so curious(;

  • it does not hurt when i do it because you are sedated by IV. it does not hurt after either. however, it takes weeks to months to look natural as the swelling comes down.

  • Have you had it done before?? can u tell me how they done it?? sorry im just really curious... :)
