  • I just bought a 59 Eldo Seville... Cant wait till i get her home!

  • Woooow!!! I knew that the Eldorado model existed in '59 and my first guess was that was what this hardtop is. I did not know that a 'Seville' ever existed that far back....friggin AWESOME! This car beats the crap out of my 89 Reatta barn-find by magnitudes (of course). What a wonderful find....I'm curious what the barn-find purchase price was. Also, the 'V.s' on the backups lights are something I never saw on a '59 before either. ! I wonder which oil-man bought that new back in '58-'59...hehehe

  • Air Ride was the worst features GM put on these cars and the Buicks. The problems were so common they called it the "Buick Lean" because the airbags would lose air pressure after they were parked for a few hours.

  • Restodan..please tell us what have happened to this car, is he restoring it or what??? any new movies on this car????, i loooove old cadillacs and really want to know,,,,,,this one was only made in 975 ex i think :)

  • i love this

  • Man, I only WISH I was around back then when those were real cars unlike the recycled pop bottles we got today.

  • WOW what an amazing find, just a nice looking caddy.

  • carnut.com says likely weighs close to 5000 pounds, jesus christ

  • @DougCameraMan I own a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport and it has 39K And a 1992 Ford Mustang with 57K. Bought both brand new. They both look like new, But if I was to park them in a barn for 13 years they would look like the odometer rolled because nobody was there to maintain them.

  • im fixing my dads old 1959 international thats been sitting for 40 years and we tried the starter before we ever even moved it and damn did that thing try to start with no gas! and it only has 79,100 original miles

  • holy crap! that´s a good looking car!

  • I gotta admit I would get rid of my 69 Camaro SS for this, These are just stunning!

  • Gotta love those tail fins!

  • this is a great find

  • If I had found this, I would have never gotten it home due to a heart attack.

  • Stunning, beautiful. I have the same habit of buying cars!

  • What a beauty!

Those days cars look like works of art....nowadays they resemble toasters.

  • That car is very solid! Would make for a nice resto!!

  • these cars look so nice they almost look more modern then some of these damn hondas peopl call cars just my 2 cents

  • This car just screams style. Beautiful car. I love your videos Dan, I jav grown up around cars my whole life and my dad used to fix cars for a living in our garage, I would always go out and help him and I love it, I love working on cars. I used to have a 84 reliant that I was working on while I was driving it. And now that I have sold it I'm going to try to get this 52 chevy pickup that I have been mowing around in a field for a year. I'm gonna try to get it and build it up so that it rinds an

  • Wow! Get a load o' those tail fins!

  • the origional color name is "Desert Sand Dune Gold"

  • Sexy damn car

  • I bet the guy who parked this in '72 never dreamt it would be sitting until 2009.

  • I love his comment at the end, "I like this problem" lol

I love your problem mate, nice find. How much would a 59 Cadi in that condition cost?

  • WHY WAS IT SITTING 4 SO LOOOOOONG?

  • very nice for it's age.. If it was parked in 1972 after 13 years of use it is very likely 148,000, not 48,000. My 11 year old 1997 Thunderbird had 110,000 miles on it when I sold it in 2008 and it still looked good, original paint and shiny. A 48,000 mile should look practically new, with original paint.

  • @DougCameraMan People didnt drive these 59 Cadillacs very much after the early 60's. They went out of style real quick back then and the luxury car hi rollers that bought them quit driving them out of style. It could be either 48 or 148, who knows?

  • They made a lot more than 900 Devilles in 1959, it was the Eldorados that were rare.

  • What a gorgeous car even in that condition. So classy

  • I really like how you ended the video.

Congratulations to your friend on such an exquisite find.

  • That was back when Cadillac gave a sh1t about their produce.. what a car!

  • I really love old american cars, but the one i love the most is the 1959 cadillac. It's just so damn beautiful it brings a tear to my eye. Your friend are one lucky bastard :) I hope he will treat it well. Peace from sweden.

  • wow...3 dueces, that thing is rad

  • what a score dam so lucky

  • I still say nothin will beat what me and my cousin found up in vermont, 1 Barn 4 Totally different cars, 55 Chevy Nomad (think it was a 55), 69 GTO ram III, 58 Chevy Impala with a big block in it, and an old 46 Dodge pickup can't remember the model just the make and that it was red with black fenders, few months later found out the GTO got crushed when the roof caved as the other 3 were being pulled out for possible sale.

  • Did jay Leno ski buy it? He is a putz comediamnne

  • JACKPOT!!!

  • Wow amazing

  • Wow flawless so happy you found it and rescued it!

  • I think we all have a problem. I have 2 project's I've been working onfor 4 years now but I just keep wanting more. Its a sickness and I enjoy every second of it!

  • nice car very rare find your lucky !!

  • You're true 'bout the problem :-)) We all like it :-)

  • I don't understand how a 59' SEVILLE!!!! could sit in a barn since 1972???? I mean... there are only around 900 of these and there we have one standing in a barn for nearly 40 years. If only i had one of these ...

  • awesome find beautifull car

  • What a great car! Love those fins!!!

  • did you get her running with original motor?... that things a beaut

  • 390 ci, pumping out 345 hp with the tri-power. And the silvery-pink colour you are refering to is called Persain Sand Metallic, it's an Eldorado only colour. And all power windows was standard equipment on Eldoradoes.

  • now thats a what i call a classic.So lucky to buy it.Wish you the best.Nice piece!

  • that is a nice car i want it! such a nice car it looks in great condition so nice

  • i wish we had some of those barns here, but we don't have that much barns at all, lol

  • I have a 1954 Desoto Firedome 2-door, in very similar condition as that one. All original parts too. How much do you think i could get for it?

  • The rear of that car looks awesome

  • At least there not getting crushed to death.

  • solid body!!

  • That car is an Eldorado, the 2-door hardtop was called the Eldorado Seville and the convertible called the Eldorado Biarritz.

  • My dad picked up a 59 Caddy coupe for a friend of his in Baker, Oregon back in the early nineties. He said the thing was so long the ass end hung over the back of our car trailer--the tires just fit.

  • OMG ! what a beautiful car to find .

  • wings and rockets

  • Hope somebody has the tripower air cleaner some where, last time I checked they were over a grand for a used one.RV

  • I call it salmon pink....lots of 57 Olds's were that color

  • i'm so jaleous of you man...

1 you live in the usa

2 you have old cars and can drive them and so on

i live in shitty holland where getting my licence already costs 3000+ USD.....and all cars here are shitty ass tiny cars and fuel is 5 times more expensive over here

  • very lucky find. i would kill to have that year and model of cadillac

    ~Matt

  • thats right, 975 where ordered and made

  • Great find

  • You Lucky sum buck!!

  • Happy Birthday

  • that'll be fun to restore

  • how much did your friend buy it for?

  • @50fordman He wouldn't tell me, which usually means he paid a bunch for it.

  • @restodan Will he sell it?

  • @restodan yeh but imagine how much it would be when he re-paints it and get its it its original state. It would be worth triple what he paid for it.

  • @restodan

it's worth a bunch though, right? Great car, great video.

  • @restodan In other words he paid to damn much and got cheated and coulda bought it for less and took his saved money and restored it! >:D

  • nice find. I am jealous LOL

  • LoI!

I like this kind of problem myself!

  • yiy!

  • Very cool find! Good luck to your friend in restoring it. My favorite 59 Caddie was the Ghostbuster car Ecto-1, but any 59 Caddie is great.

  • Robert may want to loose the whole car, he keeps finding more cool stuff and already he is eyeing another amazing barn find and he may sell this one to buy the other... we'll see... stay tuned for mo videos on this caddy tho

  • Nice car!

  • Check Out 2:37 Those Look Like The OG Texas Plates Setting On The Floor In The Back..

  • that is a awsome find! love those hapy story!

  • beautyful just get it running and dont even paint it....just use ur special formula for all that sweet sweet chrome...can wait till u tell us what it is,i have a 64 impala,70 cutlass supreme, and a 73 ford galaxie 500 2 door that could use some of it

  • About that plum repaint, we found the paint job reciept, it was done at earl schiebs [ofcourse] it was the $39 special, but this paint job cost $101 because two small dents were repaired plus it was painting the door jambs added $11. See, "THEY" get you in the door with that $39, then they gouge you with all these extras like $11 to paint the door jambs, and before you now it, a whole $100 is gone...CROOKS!!! but I guess if you drive a Caddy, you can afford $100 P-jobs, must be nice???

  • WOW! did those cool white walls!

  • Very nice Caddy, are we gonna see a reserection of this ole beast? Like the first fire up in 37 years? That would be a sweet vid. How do you find these "Barn finds" like, do you just go up to an old abandon farm and look around in the barns, and if theres something, tow it away to it's new home?

  • Stay tuned for the next video on this car, you want believe it!!!

  • Keep em coming!
