in 1980 my brother get marrie and i knew that he like john lennon i was in hight 10grade i would listen jhon lennon sent i was akid he muisg go on in my house and in the heart .he was agood person just like( my brother and he was kill in 1984 )

my brother and john were to good people way go frist i know they were alike in the heart miss them both

The opening lines about "trying to stay alive" and "having the devil of destruction hounding him" are like a premonition. Wow. It is chilling. It reminds me of the "shoot me" line that John hisses in Come Together. Of course, there is "Happiness is a Warm Gun" as well. Ironically, if there are death clues to be had, they are not about Paul.

This is a remarkable gem of a song. It has a depth and a spiritual quality that is not usually associated with John. I can imagine George singing this song (a la "Hear Me Lord" from ATMP). The title and theme (Help Me to Help Myself) is also akin to John's demo "Serve Yourself" from around the same time (John's answer to Dylan's "Gotta Serve Somebody"). For a man who seemed to not believe in "God," it is quite striking to hear John sing to a "Lord" in such an earnest way.
