to play metal gear online for ps3 u gotta go to the konami website and register an account with them in order to play it online therefore your PSN id isnt displayed in the lobby/games etc (sucks i iknow) must also point out it took me an hour to register my account with them so much arsin around with registration process.overall very good game online i gotta say 9/10

:/ the game's good, but close quarters gunfights are heavily avoidable, the aiming's too blunt to be made for close range. it really pisses me off when you empty a whole magazine into someone's head and they're not dead, but one bullet from them and YOU are. overall, if the newbs actually tried to join in with the team every now and then, it'd make a really good team tactical shooter. 5/5

What are you talking about? MGS always had a 3rd person view. The original "Metal Gear" series, from before the Playstation 1, had an above view, but all of the "Metal Gear SOLID" series (1-4) have a similar 3rd person view.

If anything Gears copied MGS, because MGS used the cover system back in 1998
