i wouldn't mind but there isn't (well to my knowledge) any sound options and I don't know how close emulation sounds to the original. Splatterhouse had a hidden one which was easy to access. we'll see. not promising anything at the moment
Ahh...Another chance to bring it back...As long as mind, Digimon...GOOD MORNING, AFTERNOON, AND EVENING, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! Your official spokeswoman is back for another spinoff of AUDIO DEATHMATCH! Really, it's been 9 months at least since the last true match was released, and I've only made another appearance in the time for the "THE SEGA CLASSICS 4-in-1 and 5-in-1: CD VS CARTRIDGE BEATDOWN" which was 3 months ago. WHEN WILL BOSS POST UP ANOTHER BATTLE?! HE NEEDS TO UPDATE HIS SITE, TOO!
In spite of that, I'm here to bring the Splatterhouse PC Engine BGM VS. Arcade BGM SMACKFEAST! For the two battlers we have around, instead of having the same music tracks played back and forth between the two versions, each system will play the entire soundtrack for their games. Both the arcade and the PC Engine Splatterhouse versions are well-loved versions of the game, but which one will conquer the other in terms of MUSIC? LET THE BRUTALITY BEGIN!
First up is the PC Engine. The tracks played for sound quite powerful and are in good quality for the system, but at times, it can sound quite vanilla, too. It even is within the superb percussion of the amazing Dragon Spirit at moments. The last piece of music, which I assume is the ending, is even very relaxing to listen to. Well done, PC ENGINE!
For the arcade version, it has some more impressive sounds to it, and is HARDCORE with a bit of creepiness to boot. Both the quality and appeal are truly there for this version. Quite strong too in this respect, but the ending music isn't as nice to listen to as the PC Engine game's is, however.
With this, the arcade beats down the PC Engine, making it the ultimate champion and ending the match! Now, with this over, I just hope that SuperPCEngineGrafx is continuing his work on his site along with these fights. I can be seen again sometime soon! Rankings: 1. Arcade 2. PC Engine.

Nice. Just bought a DUO-R and this is going to be the 1st HuCard i Buy...
The arcade version sounds better but its pretty much a Win/Win regardless since both versions are awesome
This and Ninja Spirit are the best HuCard games

Corad4 3 years ago
Chainsaw Guy = Biggy Man
Inverted Cross = Light Chapel
Biggy Man's theme is Adrenaline.
Jennifer's theme is Sleeping Beauty.
Light Chapel's theme is The Saints Come Marching In.

i guess to protect against copyright infringment with paramounts, Friday the 13th.
kushaba 3 years ago
Not certain if this is 100% correct, the arcade version is also in america.
Still, on 2 they furtherly changed it into a skull.
I think everyone agrees that 3's is the best for combinging the two into an exelent original image.

DigiHatesMakingNames, mind if you do one of these for Bravoman, Wonder Momo, Valkyrie no Densetsu and a few other Namco games?

You can try using sound emulators, like the ones that are Winamp plugins. If you don't want to, then that's fine.

Cool you have a CGII! What happened your original white PCE?
Nintega 3 years ago 2
I put that away and just keep it now as a collectors item :P
Well I think its showing its age as there is some distortion in the sound like pops and crackles which is why I decided to get the CGII

After hearing the PCE version for years on end, the arcade version sounds funny. I like the PCE version better.
