  • @DKTronics70 wow..! nice motion blur.. where did you get that?..

  • @DKTronics70 Try Minusdotcom

  • You "just" retextured the whole city? I wonder what you consider to be a "big" achievement :) However, any chances to get an early preview version for testing and helping (I'm not a wiz with shaders though). Or at least some screenshots apart from the three you've posted in the GTAForums?

  • @Rareheroe

Only Roads, Pavements, Lines, Manhole covers, Highways, and a few walls, brick, and houses. Everything, would be that "big" achievement since that would be months and months of work. I will need to find a new image host since Photobucket has pissed me off for the last time so I closed it - it just locks up every time I upload. So as soon as I find a decent hoster I will put up some test images from 2.0.

  • DKT70, you still with us? Can't wait to get a sample of 1.7.

  • @Rareheroe

I'm still around, just re-textured the whole city with new roads and pavements, so that took a while. 1.7 is now going to be Reality 2.0 because the changes are bigger than I originally wanted. I hope to get a teaser online as soon as the xmas period is over.

  • Hi bro! Good job :) Will I run this graphic mod smoothly with these parameters? Core i5, 3.3 ghz, 8 GB RAM (1666 mhz), Motherboard Asus P68, GTX 560ti 1gb. Plz answer ;)

  • @Elnur12345

You have a good PC so it should run well. You might also want to test the ENB RealityIV as this should also run ok on your PC. The link is in the newest video in the description.

  • @DKTronics70 thanks for answer. Where I can download this Reality 1.6.2 mod?

  • @Elnur12345

In the video above this one, "Reality 1.6.2 Release", link is in the description.

  • @DKTronics70 and Where I can download your Road textures?

  • motorcycle ur driving on :P

  • Just had to comment, I love this video; the perspective, the emptiness of the city.. Awesome! Oh and I'm going back to using just RealityIV 1.62 I think.. Was trying some ENB settings for patch 7 but this just looks much better to me. Any suggestions of enb you've found that looks good with your Reality mod let me know! (esp for patch7)

  • @ubtri

Working on RealityIV 1.7 as we speak. This will blow away 1.62, and will be as close to ENB as I have ever achieved, but obviously without the things that make ENB great, clouds, cars, SSAO, etc.. Also, no more adaptation, it didn't seem to be liked very much, and no more dark areas. Lighting has been completely redone from the ground up, and now makes use of a proper HDR shader. Will PM you a beta when it's ready, still a few weeks off. Patch 7 will work well.

  • @DKTronics70 sounds great! thanks! Your hard work is much appreciated <3

  • @DKTronics70 Hey I'm loving your work so far, do you already have a beta of version 1.7 I can play with? I could give you some feedback if you want :)

  • @Krakophyst

Hi, nothing is happening at the moment until I finish my current texture mod, or rather part 1 of my texture mod.

As soon as it's finished, a few days more(roughly), I will show how the textures look when running in 1.7, as well as a ENB version. So, give it a few days then I should have some time to upload something.

  • your work is awesome

I used your RealityIV 1.62,just one problem, the sky at 8:00pm still like 6:00pm

    the sky is so bright

  • You made a much better job than Rockstar itself. If the would make a new patch, they should include this. This should also be in GTAV. The timecycle and the new shaders are just awesome!

  • i swear i thought some one take a video from HD camera im not jokeing :S

  • Hell Yeah, awesome light. Congratulations ;)

  • can u upload ur enb series config?

  • ok,ty anyway, but if u have a chance to upload the road textures then upload it....ty

  • if u have any time then PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

upload the road textures somewhere and plz post the enb settings...THX

  • @GT3Drift

Not going to happen, yet anyway. This video here is 195Mb and that took me about 1 hour to upload. Now imagine how long 4Gb would take me to upload, plus I share the net connection with a friend - so that would be a bit like hoarding the internet for a few days of continuous uploading. Unless I can find someone local to me with high-speed Internet then this road texture mod is staying on my HD.

  • @GT3Drift road... icenhancer 1.25

  • will you release the road textures?

  • then i wanted to know,is youre GTA 4 moded with new textures, cuz ur roads seem to be really new

  • @GT3Drift

The roads are my own work, the ones in the video are not finished they are there just for testing, the finished roads are in the ENB version.

As for anti-aliasing, you cannot do AA in a deferred renderer using DX9, only ENB can do SSAA. IF you have a ATI card there is a new shader AA called MLAA, try it if you have a fast modern ati card.

  • i wanted to know that does the realityIV v1.62 has antialiasing?

  • gta5 eat your heart out haha but would be good if you could add more realistic car sounds

  • Thats so cool

  • man on what settings do you play?

  • @TracerNeo

1440x900, High Textures, Medium water, Very high Reflections, Very High Texture Filter, 35 & 100 Draw and detail distances, 35 vehicle density, 6 shadow density. Vsync off, definition off, patched shaders. All this squeezes into 896Mb VRAM on my GTX 260.

  • @TracerNeo 1.62 RealityIV insert?

  • @Roberkaden yes

  • Is it somehow possible to edit the reflections on the default gta IV cars to make them look like in enb ?

  • hey hows the progress? :)

  • Actually, what's the name of the song ?

  • @Rabenflucht1

It's from Gran Turismo 5 on PS3, called "Follow The Light".

  • Perfect job! Can't wait for the download link :)

amazing work mate! rockstar should employ people like you...

btw it reminds me of that DX11 ATI demo video if you get me. The one that's set in a city, and there's a yellow taxi in it :D I'm sure you know what I'm talking about here... Well, you achieved almost the same thing on DX9 bro! amazing job

  • I could watch this the whole day

    It's so fucking beautiful...

    words cant describe it.

  • You should make a rainy weather video test :D

  • @G1ngerGod

No. You can make the rain come down at a angle, "simulating" a sort of wind-blown rain, but the only movement comes from either somewhere else or it's hard-coded into the game.

  • Awesome job! I'm really anxious to test it..

  • Incase anyone is wondering where it is, well, I have had to scrap a entire weather pattern + times because it just didn't work as I wanted, so I am now about 2 days behind. I want this version to be the best yet, so stricter testing is now required, so more time is needed.

  • Awesome! Rockstar should hire you immediately:)

  • tronics will this work with 1.0.7.0

  • @G1ngerGod

Not yet, still working on it, and I'm about a day behind at the moment.

  • I gotta say that you and the guy who is responsible for the ENB series are freaking geniuses. It`s too bad Rockstar didn`t give this game some proper DirectX10 features and to be fully stable without any bugs. But even so, the engine is infinitely moddable. Good job and I hope that in the future you`ll discover even more cooler ways to tweak this game.

  • I mean, is it only RealityIV or something more ?

  • Your graphics are more than amazing. Can you tell me how you made them so realistic ?

  • @MaxiKaziu

It's all done via the timecycle using many tricks such as blending effects, blending colour for colour correction, making use of specific effects that are normally under-used or left at default.

  • srry about all those comments lol i shud of put them in one comment plz dont block me (:

  • work with 1.0.7.0??

  • @jonaslum

It does, the next video I upload will be recorded using patch 1.0.7.0.

  • oh and is this only using the realityIV mod? cuz it looks great :)

  • i love you when will this be available to download?

  • @jonaslum

    Hopefully this weekend.

  • is this real life?

    awesome, keep doing it! :)

  • HOLY CHRIST TRONICS!

    It's a masterpiece.

  • i dont need to say how good it is, because you knowits brilliant ;) the contrasts, colors, shadows everything, nice. and the situation in your video with the sun is so, relaxing, peacefull, idk.

good alternative to enb or whatever.

but the best is, you share it with us, that is what i like.

    great job.

i hope you understand what i mean, im from germany

    regards :)

  • @BlueOn213

Thanks, your English is pretty good, certainly better than my German ;-)

Look out for this mod here or on GTA4-mods in the Misc section, sometime Friday or Saturday.

  • Just a quick message. Nice work mate.Time NOT wasted! Your good at what you do.

  • Step away from the screen and you'd be forgiven for thinking you were watching real life, I'm serious. This hobby you've gotten into has come really far, I hope you're releasing the mods in the regular channels so that many others who might not be aware get to see your excellent work.

  • This is beautiful.

  • amazing!!!

  • oh my god this is so awesome! you should work for rockstar games then the graphics would be much better!

  • what first person mod did you use? plus this looks very realistic!

  • @darkhunter0778

I'm just sat on the scrambler motorbike (Sanchez ?) and the view is set to first-person, no asi mod or trainer, just the in-game view.

  • It's strange how everytime I think of what your up 2 with GTA4 and there it is a new awsome clip!!!

looks awsome and I can't wait to test your new release!!!

  • @wonderblunt

Cheers mate, to be honest I didn't think the GTAIV engine was up to this. I knew it could do adaptation, but not on this scale. It really works better when you try it yourself, set the clock to 7am, turn off time locking in your trainer, and drive around the city until the clock hits 7pm.

@ALL, cheers for the comments, I hope to get this finished and uploaded by Friday or Saturday.

  • @DKTronics70 when boris had released enb series, all gta community was like :o

Your work offers me,after so long time this feeling again..It feels like ΕΝΒ finaly got it's Rival, not only cause it's vary damn beautiful, but every hardware can use it aswell. That's professionalism

I didn't pm and it's not cause i fancy with the comments and the thumbs up,i wont get money from that that i'm sure :P but cause you really deserve ppl to support you in public

My best and i hope from every single gta's fan

  • @fonia5

Cheers mate, this isn't quite ENB, lack of real sky lighting, clouds, AA, shaders, and quality car reflections, never quite makes the ENB mark, but it's the next best thing. Skies are better, though.

And, like you said, the hardware requirements are much lower. On my PC, with this mod, the fps doubles ENB fps.

Keep making those vids, they're great. Good camera angles, zooms, and music, certainly better than my efforts - just wish I had the time and upload speeds to do them properly.

  • @DKTronics70

The reflections can be really exaggerated to look close, the sky lighting, I've never seen a great balance for (over-saturated or pure white), AA is a killer (your sharpening filter is amazing) but I'm with ya on the clouds.

All in all, I think most people love the "reality" of even lighting, nice reflections and proper color throughout. Hey DKT, do you know of a way to make the sky deep blue, rather than the light blue as seen in most screens? Kinda like Fonia5's deep blue?

  • @PacketOverload

Deep blue is very easy to do, I choose not to use it simply because it looks too cartoon-ish and unrealistic. Also, with ENB you are injecting a level of HDR lighting into the blue giving it a nicer luminance, whereas without ENB the blue is kind of flat, matte-looking, with that cartoon blue.

As for reflections, yes they can be exaggerated, but they're globally exaggerated without ENB, so everything gets the same exaggeration. With ENB, you can increase car reflections only.

  • @DKTronics70

    ~Nice.

How did you get into engine modding? I know you're a technician, what's your field? I'm a [All Around] Network, PC tech with a few website skills. ;)

  • @PacketOverload

Early 90's I built PCs for a tech company (not public sector - private) and these were mostly 386 SX and DX machines. Late 90's I was Cisco trained, CLAIT trained to level 3, and general network trained - usual networking, cabling, trunking, all paid for by the company. The networking was good, all done at weekends, or holidays, so you are alone with fellow employees, wandering around huge empty buildings with 2-way radios locating number-tagged cabling and servers. fun stuff.

  • AWESOME

  • nice work

  • Note #2:

This is adaptation running, meaning light changes depending on location and adjusts automatically to various levels of darkness and light, so you will see extreme light at specific times, and some darker light when you are in open areas.

  • Just some quick notes.

This is not using ENB, just RealityIV, and only Sunny Weather from 7am - 7pm.

All weathers are now colour corrected, and this mod is now doing some pretty funky stuff with the settings. Indoor areas should now work properly, not finished them yet. Shadows are now less dark, skies have had a overhaul, and clouds are now working properly. Should get a release by the weekend.

  • is this with enb??

  • @niggbert

    No.

  • @DKTronics70 WOW. good job
