sometimes your monarch sucks, this gives quite some penalties, so by removing him, you might get a better one =).

no, I think you will keep every unit. Although there is a limit to the amount of 'special' units you can make.

hmm, maybe. Never really tried that out. Would be funny if you can capture some regions and use them to train more units and then attack the capital. Although usually your rebel army is large enough =).
