Valkenhayn Hellsing (the last name already gives some kind affliation to vampires, enemy or otherwise) is the butler who serves Rachel Alucard (a vampire and the current head of the Alucard family) and can transform into a werwolf. Since werewolves and vampire are already gothic enough, it would make absolute sense if Daisuke (that's the composer if you didn't know) were to make a theme that sound gothic and sense he works with his own rock band..
