To me, this version of "Christmas Lights" is one of the best christmas songs I've ever heard. The lyrics and the tone is just so perfect. The official version is just cheap and without any emotion whatsoever, but I guess it's okay, just not very Coldplay-like.

this version of christmas lights was much better, they gave the other one to mainstream of a sound, there is no heart in it.  Its almost like they made a song for the money, which is very unlike them

@ollyoslo I hope they release a c-side this year. There are certainly lots of songs, that among all the other coldplay songs, isn't good enough as b-sides, but still as grammy candidates.

@tom0043 Its great, its very different to this, but its built around this verse, the words have changed a little too. Chris's voice in the song goes from really low to quite high, it shows him off brilliantly. We only heard it on a small cd player thing, but it sounds great
