He slides because the ring he's wearing on his right hand is the "magnet" holding the magnetic ring that is already in place under the glass, under his hand. He covers the real ring and starts to press down a little. He has a double-sided sticky tape on his palm. He presses down on the real ring to get it to stick to the tape. He lifts his hand, the real ring is stuck to his palm, and the fake magnetic rings falls down.

There is no hole in the glass! It's done this way: Criss is using in is right hand a magnetic ring on is finger (called a PK ring) there is a double ring already under the glass holded by the magnetic force. Then criss just have to put this hand over the ring and "steal" it so when he takes his hand off the other ring falls. Obviously and like in almost all Criss's tricks, the girl is with him...
