This was my first Rose Parade. I was eleven. I recognize several of the floats, including the "Rhapsody in Blue." I remember the 1972 Oldsmobile convertibles. I'm not sure who the first marching band is, but the song is "Yellow River", a huge 1970 hit by the British group Christie. And I love seeing the Stanford Marching Band. My Mother was amused and horrified. A great day, thanks for taking me back.

Thank you...both my (future) husband had marched in this parade...we were PCC band members and it was so long and tiring....thanks for the memories!
