I think if Yoko's songs on the "Some Time In New York City" album had been people's first exposure to her on record, maybe it wouldn't have been as bad. But people had already endured three years of her by this point and knew about her "avant-garde" art. The only Yoko songs I actually LIKE are the songs on that album. On record, this song comes off like a B52s song or something.

I'm a beatle lover too, in particular a John lover, but I don't like Yoko at all. She can't sing, she can't play and in order to get attention she plastered herself to John's side and in spite of that he seemed to think he had to further defer to her to smooth the way for her because I think he somehow knew, she had NOTHING to offer and he "let" her sing and screech to humour her. Sad. John was the gifted talented one. End of story.

They were inseparable, one of the great love stories of our time. If you don't get that you don't respect John Lennon for who he truly was. The Beatles broke up & then John was with Yoko but quit demonizing her. John Lennon was the greatest Rock singer ever, with or without the Beatles and he loved Yoko Ono, that's all there is to it.
