i own an 86 XL with the 300 I6 4 speed 4x4 this one is in good shape but looks like an old man drove it with the bad tonneau cover and the baby blue nice truck though. i was unaware that the 86 came with fuel injection mines carburetor and i had a 86 before this one XLT 302 4x4 that was also not fuel injected maybe a factory option???

The idling temp of the truck is just fine. No shit its going to idle at a higher temp, theres No Air incoming to cool the engine. The fan doesn't provide as much air as driving it does. Not like those gauges are really accurate anyways.

I miss my truck. I had a 1986 ford f150. All stock. Power windows, ac, locks. Duel tanks. Man i miss that truck. It was a darker blue than that one. I heard that with that year of truck it is so easy to confuse the computer By touching the gas before it is warmed up. The ford dealer told me that You need to let it idle down first. Leave me a commit kile.

we drove it until the gas gauge broke, the radio was long gone, and the brake pedal mushed to the floor...but that thing never failed to turn over
