  • I love this episode. Even if it isn't technically the final episode, it has all the right ingredients to be. The best part? There's violence, but very little blood and gore. So many shows out there go overboard with that s**t, it's nice to see and ending that's bloodless, yet still powerful. If only it could be recaptured...

  • 'The rockets are being fired by those men on the tower!" "Thanks KITT! I thought they were magic missiles and those guys pressing buttons were just standing there watching!"

This is pretty awesome by the way . . these guys have NO way of knowing KITT is virtually indestructable so, instead of shooting Michael with guns, they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on MISSILES!!! LOLOLOL

  • Finally I come across the title of this chapter, after years not sure which one it was!!! The best of all from the series, to my view! Michael´s bride murder, his revenge... just astonishing. Thank you very much for posting it. I think it could make such a wonderful movie... if they still used the TransAm (rather than the boring and so well-known Ford Mustang) and some famous actor (if not Hasselhoff himself again, and other than those "plain, flat" boys who look so alike to each other...)

  • I have to say, one of my favourite original episodes was mouth of the snake double feature.

  • This is the real final episode. Not the giant bullshit "WOODOO"!

  • This is the final episode that actually told the story of Michael. Every episode after that was suck making the series longer.

  • i love the song at 4:30 "white biiirrrddd in a goollddeeen caaaagee" <3

awesome scene. should definetely have been the last episode! would have been a much niceer ending

  • The name of the title songs is "white bird" by "It's a Beautiful Day"! It's on iTunes.

  • Does anybody know what was the title of the starting sound track of this episode?

  • This particular episode wasn't JUST Michael marrying Stevie; it was actually the real wedding setup for David Hasselhoff's wedding & marriage to Catherine Hicks, who played the part of Stevie. It was sad, bittersweet, & much darker in the aftermath than most of the episodes except for those involving Stevie & when Bonnie was kidnapped, to name a few. White Bird is a fav song of mine. Stevie/Hicks paraphrases the poem Scent of the Roses but it's still beautiful & one worthy of remembering.

  • @PaisleyPlace This aired in 86. Hoff married Hickland in 84.

  • The ending music is

White Bird- It's A Beautiful Day

    video: 1Cin0QzuEss

  • das waren noch serien! wer braucht two and a half man?

  • wild.........thats tru this was goin to be the end of the series.

  • this was going to be the series finale, only problem was the exec's at NBC were & still are retarded.

  • @wildarms007 too bad they didnt have any books to show what happen right after like how they have books with startrek to fill in parts after the episodes.

  • could have been alittle good!!!

  • I watched the episode last night on Netflix. This definately should have been the series finale, but I guess the producers thought the series had a few more seasons left.

  • @acehighpat It was actually NBC who aired the episode mid-season, when Hasselhoff and the producers had specifically requested they air it as the series finale. God know's why NBC didn't, since they'd probably of decided by then, that they weren't going to renew the show.

  • @HitcherThunder Okay, that makes sense. It would have made a great series finale, that's for sure.

  • @acehighpat Originally this was the season 4 and series finale, but for whatever reason was moved to mid-season 4.

  • Wow, this was such an intense and sad episode. You can truly feel Michael´s pain in this one.. The tragedy of Michael and Stevie was very powerful and well developed subplot and added tremendous drama value to the series. And I agree with others, this was absolutely one of the very best KR episodes, right along with the Knight of the Phoenix, Goliath, Juggernaut and Karr ones.

  • Evidence that shows my point of "This is when 'Knight Rider' got very dark & very serious.".; Love it!: :) .

  • HAAA Mike went ROGUE!!

  • lol, funny how the tires are squealin on everything mud..sand...everything the same audio file lol :P

  • @trytthisnow You should listen to every explosion, its like there is only one audio file por explosions...but there was the 80´s for ya....

  • lol what a crap burnout... :P

  • @trytthisnow hey this is the 80's man give some credit:P

  • @tigerintermusic I know, i was a huge fan of this show once :D

  • @trytthisnow I like to intensify it by calling it a FAGGOT burnout!

  • did he said :i want the rat or: i want durant

  • @ketelaarproducties10 To me, he sounded more like he was saying "I want durant". It's possible that durant is mispelt, and it could be the criminal firing the missiles.

  • I wish Michael had a gun in this scene..Michael should have shot that guy himself...

Or Michael should have just kept on Punching the daylights out of him untill he was dead...

If anyone else was in Michael's place, that would have been one time I would have not done what KITT said and I would have procedded to kill that guy.

KITT thinks that nasty guy should live after what the guy did to Michael--shoot him, strangle him when in the hospital, blow the house up, kill the wife???

  • @happy7117

After Michael threw the bad guy into the car, Michael should have had KITT do what KARR almost did in KITT vs KARR with the blond girl-which is turn the car into an oven by raising the temperature untill the villian passes out.

  • @happy7117

I don't think that vengeance is a good solution will not help anyone

  • when ever I watch all knight Rider episodes I alway watch as this as last ever episode even though tv networks like ITV aired half way through saeson 4, the DVD box set it is listed midway the actual last episode was Voodoo Knight well on the DVD at least but is should have Sent of Roses

  • ik kitt sayed to me ''stop it you wont be able to live with yourself'' i wouldnt stop

  • @ketelaarproducties10

Exactly...Michael should have killed him and not listen to KITT. That villian had no right to live....

  • @happy7117 i would say ;SHUT UP KITT ITS NOT YOUR WIFE SO SHUT UP!

  • This was David Hasselhoff's wish as the series finale but NBC needed rating so they moved this up instead of making it the last episode. All true fans like us Knight Rider freaks treat and watch this as the last episode. Cause it is....

  • This should have been the last episode.

  • It should be noted...this is the soundtrack used in CENTURIONS

  • It wasn't their real wedding. They got married in 1984, two years before this episode aired. There's a photo of their wedding day in his autobiography and he's much younger, with bigger hair.

And her name is Catherine Hickland, not Patricia.

  • When 'Knight Rider' got dark & serious.; I love this scene!: :) .

  • This episode really stands out from all the rest

  • If he drove like that in real life the cops would come after him

  • I rate this scene as one of the best from the original show. IIRC, "The Scent of the Rose" IMHO one of the best episodes along with three of the two-parters, "Knight of the Juggernaut" (1985-86 season premere), "Goliath" (1983-84 premere) & "Knight of the Phoenix" (Series Premere).

  • All the episode with Patricia were great, as were the ones with the Garth Knight charater (as you pointed out) and so were the ones with KARR. This show may not go down as the greatest, but it was a hell of allot of fun to watch.

  • One of the mnost intense episodes of the series and would have been a perfect ending to it.

  • 0:36 nice MGB anyway the seqence is reminiscent of the first mad max

  • That WHITE MGB you R talking about?-Naaah,Challenge is finding a 1970(NOT MID YEAR) FURTHER BACK OLDER**MGB/or even *BUGEYE SPRITE(Truimph Clone)/AUSTIN HEALEY Classics that HAD CHROMED METAL BUMPERS,not the very common black rubber bumpers like that 1 seen in this footage-I see these BLACK BUMPER MGB MODEL still running around...U want to buy 1 or something? Dont matter HOW OLD/WHAT that vehicle is,I will find most ANTIQUE VEHICLES up to at least 1984-5(Except those DINKY ESCORTS&CITATIONS>=(P)

  • LOL, you don't know much do you. Bugeyes werent copie of triumphs. Please dont go there. I know far more about the Bugeyes, sprites and midgets than you ever could. The spitfire came AFTER the bugeye and forced BMC to update the sprite to compete with it. I own a 1971 MG Midget (chrome bumper DUH). My brother has a 1973 chrome bumper MGB big frikking deal. I'm a fan of the marque and I like seeing them in movies and on TV. U got a problem with that?

  • Does anyone have the entire episode? I need to see it.

  • Could try to upload if anyone is interested.

  • YES! That would be great! :)

  • What did Michael tell K.I.T.T. to shut off, again?

  • All contacts to the foundation, because Michael refused help from the foundation in stopping the bad guy because he wanted the bad guy all for himself.

  • Why did Michael say to the guy "You've got 59 minutes."?

  • Because Michael said to the bad guy named Durante who was on the other end of the CB radio, "You got 1 hour then the hunts on again".

After Michael throws down the CB thing, he says to the guy in the car shop "you got 59 minutes" I think because it was a minute since he hung up with Durante.

  • That's what I thought.

    Thanks.: :) .

  • The music is very intense all throughout this ep.

If Michael had died in this ep which he almost did, KITT would have killed the guy himself.

  • No-K.I.T.T has programming like all robotics that follows the 3 RULES OF ROBOTICS,All of which would prevent K.I.T.T. from killing people-On the other hand, its shown where K.I.T.T. would BEND THE RULES ON HIS OWN(One scene Michael tells K.I.T.T. to wait on him,K.I.T.T. gets worried AND SPEEDS UP THAT DIGITAL CLOCK=) Which is 2 different instances on behavior-Some-one WOULD'VE HAD TO TAMPERED WITH PROGRAMMING FOR ROBOT-A.I. TO KILL(look up AISMIC ASMOV 3 LAWS of Robotics)

  • This should have been a 2 parter. The episode went way too fast.

  • He got married in this episode

  • When did Michael Knight get married???

  • Wanted a normal life and gave up FLAG until his wife was murederde by a man that attempted to kill him in the beginning of the episode.

  • The set of The Scent of the Rose was also his wedding to Patricia Hickland although IRL she wasn't murdered but their TV wedding scene was actually sort of a cover for their actual wedding. - the dress, cake, Michael's tux, etc... I can't recall if they said he and Patricia married before the scene shoot or afterward but it WAS their REAL WEDDING.

  • WHOA!!

  • Michael should have killed Durant right there in cold blood, and he would have too if KITT didn't tell him to stop.

  • such a great episode and even greater scene! as many of the KR fans think this should have been the last episode of the series. and not some relatively crappy voodoo knight.. "We're going home, KITT. We're going to the Foundation."

  • Yeah that´s true. This episode would have been the best end the series can had.

  • From what I heard this was also what Hasselhoff also wanted but it was decided different by the network but would have been a perfect ending.

  • @BMWSauberF1 Not to me it wouldn't.

  • @hyrman Well..I dont the 4th seaon was going to be the lasted

  • @hyrman , I had for a while thought this was the last episode of Knight Rider , I had seen this during the original run of the series. they should have switched Vooddo Knight and this episode around. I agree that this episode should have been the last episode. It would have explained better why Michael left the foundation in the Reunion movie.

  • While I applaud for Michael taking that kind of action towards Durrant, I couldn't blame him either. I mean, if someone had killed a loved one of mine, I would be just as hacked off as he was.

  • Sorry, I misplelled there- I meant why I don't condone what he did, I couldn't blame him either.

  • yeah for real...that kind of shit would jus piss u off right? if someone killed ur lover as u was gettin married, u would get enraged too, correct?

  • Agreed. I would have done the same thing like Michael if someone killed a loved one of mine as well. Scent Of Roses was one of the most dramatic episodes that I have seen from Knight Rider.

  • Were also forgetting that Michael gets criticaly shot at the beginning and gets rushed to the hospital.

While lying in the hospital bed, the killer's partner attempts to strangle him. Fortanetly, KITT alerts the hospital someone is in his room.

And worse, the killer uses a remote controlled airplane filled with explosives to blow up Michael and Stevie's house in an attempt to kill them both.

  • God i love this scene from The Scent Of Roses. No funny stuff here, this was when Knight Rider got very dark and serious.

  • That´s the essence of this scene really.

  • @BMWSauberF1 The show should really of been dark and serious MUCH MORE frequently, a la "Airwolf". But, sadly, it was just too camp and over-the-top for most of the time. Episodes like this were little rare gems.
