The "pot" regulates the voltage. Higher votage, more power.

@Multilasers1 Thats not true, a "pot" (potentiometer) is a kind of variable resistor and by rotating it your changing the resistance of the potentiometer and correspondingly changing the amount of current going to the diode. In this case you are reducing the resistance and increasing the current.

@greendragonable a pot is a variable resistor. what a resistor does is limt the flow of power going through, on a pot you can change how little or how high that flow is

@Multilasers1 Black is seen as black because it is the abscence of light. or rather, its does not reflect back any of the light that hits it. this is why laser have a hard time burning white objects. most of the light is reflected back.

Try turning it more, some lasers have less sensetive pots.

You can also try to turn the screw the other way.
