Only the bass riff in the beginning is sampled. Just go listen to Daddy Cool and compare. In no way "Run to You" is a "remake" or a "cover" of the that song. So basically DJ DOC wrote the original song with just a bit of sample from Bonny M's Daddy Cool and DJ OZMA just made Japanese copy of "Run to you," that's it.
