Hi....I'm from Brazil. My roots however are in Africa. This movie is amazing.....the story is so real, and the casting is so strong. The pain is so deep....also because of the songs so filled with pain and sorrow. It's hard to watch...but at the same time it's a beautiful story. Thank you so much for uploading. I am a white Afrikaner South African. I live South Africa today and it makes me sad to see so much racism still occurring in this country today. Some whites still call black people kaffirs in their social groups etc. However, racism in South Africa goes both ways. You are dead right about hatred it only breeds more hate. I see some murders committed to whites in South Africa however sometimes forget far more blacks are affected by crime in South Africa.
I am not racist and I always try to put my culture and people aside and look to the interests or needs of all South Africans not just the whites. Hi....I'm from Brazil. My roots however are in Africa. This movie is amazing.....the story is so real, and the casting is so strong. The pain is so deep....also because of the songs so filled with pain and sorrow. It's hard to watch...but at the same time it's a beautiful story. Thank you so much for uploading. If you don't understand the horrors of the apartheid regime in South Africa, this film will tell you in no uncertain terms and leave you with absolutely no doubt of it's brutality and treatment of our black brothers and sisters. The beauty, the dance, the music are wondrous. Masakela's music is at times quite inspiring and the talent on display, remarkable.
