Really nice job...you have a bright future ahead. Keep up the good work. Many would try, but there are few who can perform this piece as well as you have. Brava!
Not always technically perfect, but lovely and musical playing by a serious kid who obviously listens to what she does. I'm not a naive listener...I was a conservatory student years ago...but I prefer her playing of this piece to the playing of some professionals, who view it as an amusing showpiece and not as music. I find myself coming back and listening to it again and again.
Excellent player but the tempo has to be kept in check. It's not good to speed up too much in places. You lose some of the rhythmic feel if it's too fast.
Nice arrangement here. Tone changes in some places are good too.
Maybe you should stick to ruining the Fauré Pavane.
You don't have very good technique for playing the piece but I guess we are all supposed to say Bravo to you too. Don't think you'd get many Bravos in France for that rendition.
I guess since she has better technique than you do you are upset that some people know the difference between so so and really fine playing.
Since you know so much about music, why don't you contribute something yourself, rather than writing spiteful comments about talented people like this young woman.
I can understand you being bad at French music because you Brits are so tone deaf to French culture...but you're English and can't play Dowland worth a damn.
Less time on YT and more time getting help is what you need, crybaby.
@Rexicano i dont mean to give you more flame then your already getting, but, to put it crudely, stop being an ass and get your arrogance under control. the fact that you have nothing better to do then to argue with others on youtube (of all the sites and forums) doesnt say much about yourself. Also, before you want to criticize someone about something, you should probably prove that you yourself know or can do better. you claim to be so much, yet have nothing to show for it...
Thanks for presenting me with your credentials in Music.
Oh, that's right, you don't have a video of the piece yourself...gee, what shall I assume?
I guess you're too busy as you need to run now to write to Roger Ebert that he has non right to comment on films as he hasn't made any. "Cept maybe one.
And here you are pointlessly arguing with me on YouTube. Hypocrite.
@Rexicano im not criticizing your music, im criticizing your personality. and yes, im arguing with you on youtube, but its hardly a waste of time on my part if theres even a slight chance that i can leave an impression on you to make you grow up a bit and maybe start acting your age. ce sont les gens comme toi qui donnent aux francais une mauvaise image, tu sais? i appreciate that you started off giving constructive criticism, but you should keep your temper and patience in check.
@Rexicano It is truly sad that you've not managed to control your ego at your age. Clearly from your comment addressed to viciousmagdiel you're getting on a bit, as you tell him / her (quote) 'I was playing this piece well before you were born'.
You clearly have something to prove. Is youtube really the place to do it? I notice you've contributed NOTHING to youtube, excepting your attempts to grind talented musicians into the dust with your 'wit'.
Yeah, let's kill the messenger...not discuss the art I critique. Just stop the fake drama. It's just too bad that I know what I'm discussing and you don't.
And this is coming from an idiot who claims his interests are "Winging and moaning." Hypocrite?
Maybe you're unclear on the concept here on YouTube but it's a public forum and others (besides just you) have a right to express opinions..even negative ones...so grow up. Winja Warrior? What are you...7 years old?
@Rexicano er, no, I'm 9 years old. Seems strange that I have more constructive things to say than someone like, for example, yourself, who from your comments I estimate is in his 80's.
Sorry but "Bravo", when used as an expression instead of as an adjetive, has no gender variability at all. A girl can be "brava" (brave, valiant, strong-hearted, aggresive), but you can NOT shout "¡Brava!"(sic) to celebrate her success, unless you want to speak like some unliterated Spanish women ministers decorating recent (socialist) governments.
Daleko zajdziesz...:)
Unfortunately (or fortunately) the guitar music level is getting higher every year. Martyna, though she's quite good, she's not an evenement. There lots of kids playing better than her. Some of 13yo guys play even better than the Musical Academies graduates. For example "mr" Przedbora and Kozlowski (as far as I remember from Tomaszow Mazowiecki in Poland). They are 14 year old and they win international contests with 30-40yo guys. Hope some day we'll see them on yt.
Wystarczy wspomnieć "panów" Przedborę i Kozłowskiego bodajże z Tomaszowa Maz. To są mistrzowie (13, 14 lat?) Może kiedyś zagoszczą tu ich nagrania
So let me see... At her age I still wouldn't pick up the guitar for another 3 years. And yet she plays better at 11 than I do at 48. And in front of an audience no less. And not just technically does she play well, but with real verve and style. That makes my head hurt.
¡¡¡ Bravo, Martyna !!!

@Rexicano this piece is supposed to be at a fast tempo. All music from this era was lively and was mainly used for dancing,

This comment has received too many negative votes show
@viciousmagdiel
Did you read what I wrote? "fast tempo" means nothing....but that was not what I was writing about.
I'm talking about how the rhythm speeds up all of a sudden in an erratic way.
I was playing this piece well before you were born. But hey, thanks for the note any way. Best to go back and watch the Truck videos.

Great left hand,(Tarrega would be proud.)
the staccato was nice clear the slurs we clear and very strong. A fine approach to Rasgueado and good jig form.
I always find it interesting to hear comments from people who are not professionals.
as I have played hundreds of concerts and taught for 27 years, I feel secure in saying she is a real talent.
Keep the love in your music and don't worry about the rest.
