1. jailbreak a 3g ipodtouch NOT iphone

2. it you turn it of and it says connect to itunes connect it to itunes then close itunes

3. run blackra1n so it will boot up the ipod touch and walla

p.s only do this if you turn of your ipod

How do you keep it from going into recovery mode? Everytime I try it, it goes into recovery mode and then I can't do ANYTHING.. All I see is the plug and the itunes thing on the screen and when I plug it up, Itunes says that I have to recover my iPod so that It can work again.. Please help.

Ok, for everyone who's iTouches or iPhones do not reboot and the screen stays black. Do not panic. You may always plug your iTouch/iPhone into your iTunes and restore it. The process takes about 10 minutes and then iTunes should have a backup of all the apps and songs you had and it will then sync your iPod. If it does not sync all your apps back, wait until it is finished, then click the sync button and it will finish syncing everything else. Hoped this helped :)
