  • That was hilarious!

Sent here by Dumbing of Age.

  • 3 people don't like cake

  • This scene was done before by the Anime "School Rumble"

I wonder if the similarities are a homage, or a complete accident.

    (Just search Cake+School Rumble)

  • @TheLastSibby Seeing as how this show references so many things, I wouldn't put it past this anime to parody that scene. I mean Chiri was practically going Super Saiyan on us too there.

  • 0:54

    *Fidget* *Fidget* *Midget* *Fidget*

    ROFL WTF?

  • IT BLENDS!!!!

  • It was a lie, anyway.

  • The strawberries left her in despair.

  • GENIUS

  • what follows this is probably one of the most hilarious misunderstanding in anime history

  • 0:52 Fidget, Fidget, Fidget, Midget lol

  • 33,088 people who watched this video: Ooh, cake shake! May we have some?

Chiri: One cake shake...33,095 people...to split the shake into equal amounts...from a blender that's 16 inches tall, each person needs...0.00048345671551...

  • After the boy, you need to tell them they cannot have anymore. No one else can have any. Okay? Feed those that come first.

  • I love the way this anime is created when they put real things in it (like the cake and the strawberries)

  • That blended cake looks like shit!!! I'M IN DESPAIR!!

  • PEOPLE WHO USE THE CAKE IS A LIE INCORRECTLY HAS LEFT ME IN DESPAIR!

  • I remind myself of Chiri so much sometimes, haha. ^^

That's probably not a good thing, huh? o-o'''

  • @saharaxwolfie @saharaxwolfie O.O doesn t that makes you get 100% on each test?

  • @tommybui Almost. ;D

  • @saharaxwolfie O.O what do you study? are you a girl? won t that make you the perfect wife?

  • @tommybui LOL. xD Yes, I'm a girl. I'm still in high school, so I study what they tel me to. And I try to get a good grade on every test but I'm gonna have to get over my "Chiri paranoia" Because I have hard classes this year.

  • @saharaxwolfie hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm you will die in college xD . if you think high school is hard :D .

  • @tommybui T_____T

Not thus far, but I've heard that this year is difficult.

    Don't scare me!

  • @saharaxwolfie hmmm, i am university student now. what grade you on? :p i went through my middle school and high school without studying ;) and sometimes get 96% on exams :p ^_^ now :D ( i also sometimes get low score XD) ^_^ i am oposite from you :D never take things serious .

  • Will it blend?

    Yes it will!

  • Why not just cut each slice in seven? Silly girl :)

  • @Reminiscable cuase she already cut the stawberrys when there were 5 then another oin then she cuts them again and then the last person oins and sweet smoothie XD

  • THE CAKE IS A GODDAMN LIE !!!

  • I would hire her to be my accountant if I could

  • I would appreciate a live action cake in front of me right now.

  • Lol @ the live action blender

  • One of the four "fidgets" above Meru-chan says "midget". Just saying.

  • @GigaGabo

Hmmm, I think it's meant to say that as a joke...since the japanese character is different from all the others that mean "fidget".

  • :F dam. Now I want that cake.

  • Classic scene.

  • I would like watch this show in English dub. But then, I suppose it would be difficult to dub it.

  • If at first you don't succeed, call an air strike... or use a blander.

  • THE CAKE IS A LIE!!!!!!

  • Haha!

  • THE.CAKE.LOOKS.REAL.AND.IT.ALSO.LOOKS.REAL.DELICIOUS.

  • yum yum cake slurpee xD

  • AH CAKEY

  • The cake is a lie.

  • @EpicPoop

If it was a lie, it would have left me in despair, so I'm pretty sure that at least this time, the cake was totally for real.

  • @MichaelCox It got milkshaked, so I am in despair.

  • Chiri, you dolt, just slice each strawberry stick into seven equal parts instead of continuing to do it radially.

  • THE CAKE HAS LEFT ME IN DESPAIR

  • She Reminds me of death kid from soul eater lol XD

  • Fidget fidget midget fidget

  • 0:42 - The bulging vein isn't on the middle of her forehead!

  • I totally hate when that happens, you plan for things to be even and then random people show up to mooch off your food >:(

  • @animelover1234

Keeping things perfect is really hard when it comes to food :/ I always cut cakes into eight pieces and serve accordingly. If more people show up, I just cut the remaining pieces in half (or bake another cake).

  • ...cake milkshake?

  • Were the animators so lazy they just stuck a picure of a cake in there?

  • @Hollowden

No, Studio Shaft just likes random colors, slides, and pictures. They're on something, we can tell.

  • I don't remember this scene, what episode is it from and what season if anyone knows.

  • @animeking1357 Season 1, eps 2. Somewhere in the middle. :)

  • @lnh14 lol thanks probably would've helped if I had read the description XD

  • @animeking1357 Not if I had just added it to the description 5 minutes ago. :P

  • @lnh14 Oh really lulz

  • @animeking1357 I think you dont remember this scene because it was not in the anime. I compared and found small differences. Plus when the clip shows the cake, its not in anime form but some weird reality form....

  • @MasterYoshitaka Aha! I knew I had not seen it!

  • chiri= death the kids soulmate XD

  • @hollowshinobi1

    Just my thought XD

  • @hollowshinobi1 A shinigami and a murderer? Unlikely.

  • @hollowshinobi1 She'd always remind him of the stripes on his head being unsymmetrical. Then he'd be all, I'M HIDEOUS, GARBAGE! But he'd still love her, because Chiri is a perfect set of symmetry. <333

  • Cake is a LIE!

  • LOL

  • ahhhhhhh the isane mind of an insane mathmatition

  • "I happened to earn some extra income"? whaaaaat? it was supposed to be for Chiri's birthday. D=

  • Solid cake is a lie

  • cake abuse... XD

  • CHIRI-CHAN I WANT SOME CAKE TOO!!!!

  • best. scene. EVER.

  • if it's a real cake, i wonder how it taste. :D

  • 1:20

    Super Saiyan Chiri

  • haha, I love the "real" scenes.

For example, that's a real cake.

  • @JohnRichard1991 typical of Studio Shaft's style

  • Heh, even if they are gay they would still get laid more than johnblaster.

  • "Turyeah" and "Orryeah" don't have any particular meaning, they're just phrases to get pumped up. Sort of how (cliche) kung-fu guys have the whole "Hiyah" thing.

  • Which episode was this?

  • @CampusNerds S01 E02, if you're still wondering. :)

(Sorry, I obviously don't check this thing often.)

  • Hm, okay. Odd.

  • Agreed.

  • You 2 are acting crazier than Chiri-chan!

  • It is delicious Cake Shake, YOU MUST DRINK IT.

  • OH U.

  • I just couldn't resist.

  • cake it's LIE!haha

    very great scene!XDD

  • Cake Shake!

  • XD!! that was amazingly funny!

the poor strawberries, they looked like chopped up carrots near the end o.0

  • Actually not that bad... Hmm... kinda taste like ice cream floats... but a bit dryer in texture... xD

  • I want to try a cake milkshake sometime.

  • AH KEKKE

  • Sheesh, I'm disappointed in Chiri.

Instead of trying to cut the cake more and more,

she just should have cut some people instead.

    *wink wink nudge nudge*

  • That's what you get for not getting your own damn cake.

  • So she stuck it all in the blender in the end...? Lol gross XD

  • Anyone have an idea whats the name of the scene before this one with the randomness

  • :/ I guess you don't know sarcasm >_>

  • I guess you don't know it too, because sarcasm is used in a way so people KNOW it's sarcasm.

  • ^^ I am sorry i guess it was a childish comment, w/o thought, excuse my ignorance *no pun intended*

  • Okay, no problem lol xD

Sorry for being so harsh, but alot of people are annoying me with the word KAWAII, but they don't mean sarcasm :(

    Sorry again ^^

  • I'm just curious, but what is it about English speakers using the word kawaii that annoys you so much. It is part of the same process that creates loan words in languages. Are you against the diffusion of languages or just against diffusion of certain languages?

  • @toppojiijo I know you said this about 2 months ago, but it bothers me too. What bothers me isn't the fact that they say it. It is used as Gratuitus Japanese. Simply saying a Japanese word in the middle of an English sentence isn't the same as speaking Japanese. It's just someone being a Japanophile and saying it because it's cool or "Japanese" to do so. I honestly wouldn't mind if they said "kawaii" as its own thought, but saying. "OMG! That is so Kawaii!" Annoys me to no end.

  • Yes, it is gratuitous; so what? It's hard to use a foreign word that isn't yet a loan word without it being gratuitous. Japanese people do the same thing with English and other languages, using them to sound cool, and quite a few of them become loan words that way. But when a English speaker does it with Japanese they get called a "Japanophile"? Gratuitous usage is a natural part of language diffusion, and it is the ethnocentric and culturally defensive individuals that are most annoyed by it.

  • @toppojiijo Again, it doesn't really bother me that they use Kawaii, but a vast majority of the people that do use the word use it out of context or sometimes just wrong. Saying everything under the sun is "kawaii" or using it in the place of every positive adjective imaginable and, probably most infuriatingly, pronouncing it wrong and saying "kowaii" instead which means scary which changes the meaning entirely. I use Japanese loan words, too, but when I can't describe it any other way. (Cont.)

  • @toppojiijo For example, I'll use the word "moe" (mo-eh) to describe a girl who is cute, but the kind of anime cute that otaku fawn over or I'll use the word "otaku" not as the generic anime fan definition, but the insulting "over-bearing geek" definition. We already have a word to describe kawaii. Infact, we have quite a few. When people say kawaii, they aren't trying to create a new loan word, but trying to sound as Japanese as possible without actually learning the language.

  • I don't think your being consistent with your first statement, and I think your being bias. Lets try an exercise by altering your first statement - [Simply saying a English word in the middle of an Japanese sentence isn't the same as speaking English. It's just someone being a Anglophile and saying it because it's cool or "American" to do so.] This would offend Japanese people who use English words regularly. And yes, there are plenty of Japanese words for the loan words but we use them anyway.

  • There are actually countless English loan words for the Japanese language while the same cannot be said for English and Japanese loan words. Yes, we have them, but they aren't nearly as used as the Japanese and English loans, therefore, the analogy can't be reversed. Also, I use moe and otaku because we just don't have words to decribe, "Cute in a way that reminds you of anime" or "over obsessive geek who is mostly into anime and other anime items" in English. We have plenty of words for "cute".

  • Language diffusion is like firing blindly: only a few words actually stick, but that doesn't mean it was wrong to ever use the words that didn't. The availability of the same or similar words is only one factor, and language diffuses despite their presence. You claim it is inappropriate to use a foreign word that you already have words for, but that isn't true for the Japanese is it? I have heard Japanese girls say kuuto (cute) even though we have plenty of native words for it,

  • and they do it to sound cute or cool, but I'm not bothered by it. It is annoying to you, but to me it is a healthy cultural exercise that promotes multiculturalism. You say the analogy cannot be reversed because Japan uses more English loan words, so are you saying gratuitous usage of a foreign language is OK as long as your language is already littered with it anyway? so, where to draw the line? You prescribe these complex rules for appropriateness: why do you have to be so uptight about it.

  • A) I don't speak those foreign languages so I have nothing to complain about. (Though, I have spoken to a bilingual individual (Spanish/English) on the subject of random English words and he feels that if you already have a word to describe it in your language, use it.) B) It sounds dumb to me. Especially the context in which they use it. Saying "OMG! Sasuke is so super kawaii!" simply annoys me. C) I never said all people who use the word annoy me. Just those ignorant to the original context.

  • "OMG! Sasuke is so super kawaii!"

Strange, I don't find that usage inappropriate. How did you reckon it's appropriateness? Weren't you complaining about context? The subject is a Japanese manga character....

  • Eh. I guess it just annoys me. Being that that sentence (and various other versions of the same) are said all the time in the corners of the internet I travel. I also hear people ending said sentences with "desu" regardless of language and it just rubs me the wrong way. I mean, they also tend to use it as a general term for anything positive whether it be "good", "great", or even in some instances in the place of the word "very". I don't know. I guess it's just me.

  • at least that cake was not a lie

  • LoL portal...

  • I never... saw such a crime against cake... Chiri-san has no regard for the sanctity of cake.

  • Well, you know... As the series progress, she commits even worse crimes, on a regular basis, to her fellow humans and completely loses her regard for the sanctity of human life... Provided there ever was such a sanctity to begin with. Human beings are, after all, not fit to define the value of human life as we are naturally biased on the subject... I'M IN DESPAIR!! THIS BIASED WORLD HAS LEFT ME IN DESPAIR!!

  • milkcake yummy

  • I guess I'll have to be the one to say this...The cake was a lie :P

  • Zetsubou shita!!!

  • OVER 9000 pieces!!

  • yeah. that would be a perfect forced meme right? 4CHAN HERE I COOOME!!!

  • bulcrap. the cake is a lie ROTFLZZZZ!!!

  • Go live in a fire.

  • LOL perfectionist. solution is cake shake! I wonder what taste like XD !!!

  • cake was a lie - because it became milkshake

  • WHAT?! cake shake?!

    i'm in despair!! D:

    ps: now i want some cake shake. o_-;

  • lol that was silly

  • HAHAHA CAKESHAKE

  • the actual pics of strawberry, cake, and the live action for the blender part really makes this scene even funnier for some reason, lol

  • well then, problem solved.

  • lol 1:21

Nappa: ...Vegeta! what does the scouter say about her thinking levels?

Vegeta: Holy crap... it's... it's... OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!!!

    Nappa: What nine thousand?!

  • The anime did this scene so much funnier than in the manga. Seeing Chiri crack like that is priceless.

  • problem solved

  • I really don't know why they changed people who came during this scene. Chiri should've been sitting with her 3 tea ceremony club members, then Kafuka and Mr. Despair came.

Whatever. I want that cake too!

  • They redid the scene in Zoku I think (Maybe it was Goku?) with the other lineup :D

  • Oh I see, Thanks for the info!

  • just noticed, they changed two of the members to the Otaku girl and Abiru. O_o

  • lol i want some too~~ :D

  • It looks kinda good doesn't it? <_<
