Hi Laura! Kitchen tools...okay how about knives? I have a gazillion type of knives from a cheese knives to bread knives! Each knife I have says they are the best for whatever it's used for! Im a very basic kind of gal, that loves to cook! I mostly chop and cut! so my question is ... What are ur more basic knives for EVERYTHING! I need to get rid of some!
Are you doing perviews on different products you think we should have in our kitchens? If so I have been looking for a good juicer and have no idea which one to buy. If you have an opinion on the subject it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Laura, I have a non-stick pan and all my friends say to use butter, I even use a little bit of butter, but why would you need it in a non-stick pan?
I'm 14, but I absolutely adore cooking. I'm not so good at it, but I'm trying hard, and I kind of am improving. My parents aren't allowing me to buy a stand mixer, and a set of knives (The ones which you use). I really need them to improve and to practice more, because I plan on becoming a chef when I grow up, but is it okay for a beginner like me to buy it at this stage?
Hi Laura, could you please please do a video on how to plate your food like a restaurant style..please please....Recently, I heard of terms like Anatomy of a Plate etc...what is that actually?
Your videos are like the only things I watch on YouTube daily. You are so great and I love to follow your recipes and try them out myself. But I had a question: I don't have measuring cups yet and I'm planing to buy one soon but I don't know which types are the best. Do you prefer plastic ones, glass ones, or stainless steel ones? I would love it if you replied by comment or a personal message. Thanks! Love your videos!!!! ;)
what do you think about those white knives that I see almost everywhere? I heard somewhere they're ceramic knives, but I don't understand the advantages of using them.
Laura, I'm curious about that small circular whisk you use often. What is the difference between that one and the regular more common pear shaped whisk. Also where can I purchase one because I cannot find it at my local grocery store.
if you are in a low budget, and need to buy the first things for your kitchen, what would those items be? bearing in mind that you want to be able to cook anything.
ps - i love ur channel and ur personality. All your recipes that i have tried, not one has failed me! U r my inspiration and so Im starting my own cooking channel, plz dont see me as competition!

Im thinking of buying a kitchen aid mixer but i want your opinion on which one is the BEST! i dont care about the price, only the quality.Because i would use it on everything like doughs (mostly) to batters ad stuff. thanks laura
Hi Laura! I have actually bought over 20 hand held can openers but neither one of them work! I mean, they work for the first 5 times but later on either they break or they dont work at all. Maybe its the way im opening the cans so can you please demonstrate opening a can? I know it sounds stupid but please if you can then I willbe really glad!
Hi Laura, I'm glad that you created this Chanel for us. Thank you very much. I have tons of question to ask about kitchen as I love cooking and going to move in my 1st home ever where I'm going to build my dream kitchen. For this topic, can you please suggest what I need to purchase to start up my kitchen in term of cooking tool such as: pots, skillets.... Thanks again
What do you recomment as 'starter-kitchen-tools-set'? You know, what pans, what knifes, etc. Things everyone should have in their kitchen + is affordable for students who are living on their own.
@therealmelizzy My microbiology teacher said, plastic cutting boards are the worst because bacteria can adhere to them more strongly. She said, just make sure your cutting board is not too old... Sorry, I just wanted to share this information.
@therealmelizzy (hope you don't mind a random reader replying) but I've heard the opposite. In plastic cutting boards, you get slits. In these slits there can be a massive bacteria build up. Wooden boards dry out quickly, plastic not so much. The only reason plastic would be better, is if you wash them realllllly hot (or dishwasher).
@skoshy Wooden spoons are only used by witches for ritual purpuses, because wooden spoons have a magical meaning to them... that does not mean it is a better choice in everyday cooking... It also depends on the quantity of food, if you are making a large pot of meat a spatula or a plastic spoon wouldnt be strong enough. I tend to cook for a lot of people, and so that´s when i need to use wooden spoons!!!
Hi laura! I'm from Singapore :) How do you chose a good brand of whisk? I bought mine at a baking store, using it for a year now and it's starting to go out of shape. Do you have any tips on that? I hope you can respond! :)
I got piramid grater cheese, i feel like not useful because i use only one side to grater cheese. So how the other two-side work? Thank you, Luara. My baby she turn to 5 years old after christmas, she love you and offcourse I love you too.
Is there a special preparation i have to do, when i buy a new silicone cake/brownie mold? I've heard people say i need to use butter the first time i use it. If so, how do i do it properly?
Knives and pots. I need new pots badly... What do u recommend? Non stick? Can all be cooked in non- stick or I need two sets? This is a big investment and I would appreciate ur advise. ( the set u got I can't find in Canada :()
do plastic utensils work as well as metal or wooden utensils do? what are the best type of utensils to use when working with hot food on the stovetop versus utensils used for eating? i wanted to invest in some wooden utensils but didn't know if it was the best option.
For making sponge cakes... you know how you have to use an electric mixer to cream the egg whites and sugar for peaks and stuff? do you HAVE to use an electric mixer? because I don't have one at all!! Can you till make peaks with just a regular whisk??
I'm 15, I know how to cook/ use tools from what I research and remember from what my mother taught me. My aunt and I always have disagreements on cooking. we have non-stick pans that are already peeling and there were new, though they do not look it. I know how to use it properly and which tools to use and which ones not (including temp, she cook everything on high -.-") Is there an easy way to show HOW to use it right so no more coat peel in my scrambled egg (etc) HELP?
Could you maybe do an item about the oven too? Mine has different settings, and I have no idea what to use them fore. eg someone once told me that for cakebaking you must use the setting that releases the heat from underneath. Is that true?
What is the best mixer (as in brands) with various changeable parts (the one that keep spinning when you turn it on) that is available in any part of the world and still looks good sitting on our kitchen counter?
Are plastic cutting boards as good as wooden ones? And how many separate cutting boards do you use? Like, one for raw meat, one for vegetables... Would you use the raw meat board for raw fish too?
Is there a need for a grater? What do I do when I need a grater but I do not want to buy one? I saw alot of episodes whereby you add orange zest into the food. So really, is there a need for a grater?
Hi laura! I have experience alot of my spatula melting when i use it to melt my chocolate. Is there any heat proof spatula. I just need a yes and no answer. No need a demonstration:)
which kitchen aid mixer gets the most bang for our buck? do we need to purchase the more expensive models or does the most basic one do the job, if we are just baking one in a while?
Hi! Q: recently you have baked goods and used your standing mixer with the attachment for dough kneader, is that necessary to have for the dough consistency ? I tried without one and my dough came out smooth and sticky.
So you are going to read aaaaaall the comment here? Sounds like lots of work! Here is a question: we are moving this weekend and the new apartment has a gas stove. Until now (I am 21) I have always cooked with an electric one. So we have a choice: we can buy an electric one or we can stay with the gas stove. What would you choose? What is better, faster, healthier? I always have this fear that the whole apartment will explode some day if I cook on a gas stove.... :D :D :D
@naninanannn I recently switched to gas :D I can tell you, I love it! I do have one thing that makes me feel al lot safer: the valve to close the gas line is right there next to the stove, in plain sight. I close it every time I'm done cooking for the day :D
Could you please go over the various uses for the different knife styles? i.e. serrated, chef's knife etc. And also let us know if there is one all-purpose knife you suggest! Thanks xxo
Hey Laura I'm lookingto get a food processor. , one that does everything, is the kitchenaid one worth the bucks, or should I gt sumthing else ( btw I know the kitchenaid mixer is worth it )
When it comes to baking what are the must have tools you need? And does the material of your pans make a difference in the baking process? Ex: glass, metal, silicone.
Does a heavy knife makes your life easier in the kitchen? How often should stainless steel knives be sharpen? Thank you for opening this channel, you're amazing!
Hi Laura! Is a kitchen aid stand mixer really all it's cracked up to be or can I stick with a good old fashioned wooden spoon? Can you talk about what you use your stand mixer for! Thanks :)
when baking a sponge cake, i understand that you have to let the electronic mixer mix the batter for quite some time. But is there a certain power the mixer must have to achieve good sponge?
I am so happy I found this!!!

I close it every time I'm done cooking for the day :D

when baking a sponge cake, i understand that you have to let the electronic mixer mix the batter for quite some time. But is there a certain power the mixer must have to achieve good sponge?
