I went to your page and if your really 44 years old and still watching anime you have a serious fuckin problem. Speedruns are GAY AS FUCK. Big deal so you beat the game quickly. @MegaCloud666 Clever manipulation of + and - HP Materia, and a little luck. Or maybe there's some magic point where luck can be gamed to null point.

I know I went into a battle with Emerald with 2 characters with 7777/7777 HP. It was then that I found out there's a limit to the number of free attacks you get at the beginning of battle with Fever...

So I guess the Regen thing only works if you don't have a mastered Restore Materia? Also, damn, this is brilliant. Would it work with Omnislash too, or does Ungarmax hit more times. And what about Highwind, would the 7777 thing work with Highwind as well, since that hits an ungodly amount of times

That's the IV soundtrack right? Def only my third favorite game, but it was the first one I played, so the music was my first introduction to Uematsu. So for nostalgia's sake, the soundtrack on IV is def my favorite! Thank you!! (I remember vividly that I asked my parents for Final Fight for the Snes that Christmas. you can buy in the canyon hp plus marteria :) on rang 1 = 10% more hp and on 5 you got 50% more life :)

Regen FTW. FFVII has a unique Regen mechanics, and that's what won the battle for you, along with stat manipulation. You're really TheGreat for figuring that out, Garland.

i saw the damage of the emerald shot was 3266, but barret only take about 300 of damage.

I think it's because of 'Regen'.

That's the effect of Regen when you have 255 Dexterity/Speed and Haste. If the damage was about 2700 or less, you wouldn't even notice it.

I don't think so as Cloud's OmniSlash hits 15 times, Ungarmax 16 times and I don't think there's any other real multi-hitters that'd make it able to deal enough damage even with this strategy without some major luck.

That would be 18 hits for Ungarmax, tied with Highwind for the most hits.

Since Ungarmax has the shortest animation by far, there is no way to do it quicker.

Unfortunately not. If you could make the first Ungarmax deal 8894+ damage per hit, it would have been enough with six more Ungarmaxes and the battle would have ended at 1:08.

But then again, you can do it even faster than that if you use the regular strategy and enough of the hits go critical. That's not very likely to happen though, even with 255 Luck.
