My lord, I've been searching for this for most of my time in Cyberspace. First a bit of reference. I first heard this at the age of 2 or 3 as my parents played this a LOT. The year was 1971-1972 and the bass would rumble the whole house. Initially I was scared by it but over time I began to love it. By the age of five I'd want to hear this every birthday.
It still is in my mothers house (on Reel-to-Reel...and it works) but I've wanted a copy for my own.
I saw Gabor at the Jazz Workshop in Boston in the mid 1970's. The opening group was Gary Burton. .Awesome. Did anyone else frequent the jazz Workshop and Pall's mall on Boylston Street ?
i just simply love this man, i mean his music, u know i can allways replace the notes with words and so the whole song feels like a tale...
i think this is the point of music, i mean the musician wwants to share a picture, tale whatever with the audience, and i just get scared how i "understand" his music..
i am new to Gabor, and it was this track that introduced me to his music....and i am very glad i found it and him...
